This was interesting! Wang Duo's character was such a red flag, but he played it so well! I love when actors aren't afraid to take on these villainous roles. 8.5/10
In my very early post, I mentioned that some of us will feel anger, for me is part of grieving for the character…
I actually preferred how The Blossoming Love handled things too. Even though people complained, at least it had some internal logic. This one felt so random, and the whole time-travel aspect just wasn’t believable.
I also really dislike how in the end only Tang Lici got the short end of the stick while everyone else, including that harpy Xi Fang Tao, got a happy ending. It was just completely unsatisfying to the core!
Time-travel and timeline-changing plots are always tricky, because they’re almost guaranteed to stop making sense at certain point, and after watching the final episode, I was disappointed, not gonna lie. I usually love a good tragedy, and I’m all for main leads sacrificing themselves when it’s done well, but this time it just left me frustrated instead of moved.
That said, I do still like the drama overall. It triggered that very specific obsessive streak in me, and during the airing I literally dreamt about it. The dysfunctional chaos between Tang Lici and Liu Yan was incredibly satisfying, the Zhoudi Tower tragedy was hauntingly beautiful, and Leo Yunxi in the main role was absolutely breathtaking.
It’s just… the ending left a sour taste in my mouth.
I’m honestly surprised by how good this is! I’m only on episode 7, but the quality has been incredible so far. The world feels so vivid and believable, from the settings to the slow, detailed worldbuilding. I love it!
Could someone clarify the episode release schedule? The last six episodes on kisskh have unusable subtitles, WeTV and iQIYI are unavailable in my region for this specific drama 😭, and Viki only offers up to episode 34. When will episode 35 and beyond be accessible?
Oh, that was kinda bittersweet, but I really liked it.
There were no boring intro episodes so it grabbed my attention from the start and every character was interesting and had their own flavor. The brotherhood between the MLs was just beautiful, that undying loyalty was my favourite thing.
The colors, the music, the fight scenes, the costumes… everything was so satisfying. And I’ve gotta give it to GJ, that crying scene in the final episode really tugged at my heartstrings.
It’s hard to see these characters as the same ones from TBOY, knowing what eventually happens between them, but honestly that just adds to the bittersweet vibe. I think I’ll just separate the two stories in my mind tho. My assassin pookies deserve a happy ending.
I was watching another drama, got annoyed waiting for new episodes, and decided to watch this one in the meantime while the other one piles up more episodes .... but it’s only been a day since I committed to BR and I’m already on episode 28. LOL.
I can't help it though, it's so good! GJ and CHS are such a great duo, and CHS's character is so charming.
Words can’t even begin to describe how much I hate this ‘new’ poster policy on MDL. Every single change was somehow for the worse, and this one is a peak example.
The only one I’m invested in is A Shui. But I am interested in the whole Yin Yang backstory and arc. I’m way…
Well, that’s fair. I’m not criticizing your rating, I just want to say I have nothing against this drama and no reason to sabotage it in any way. I was talking about which parts of the story I found interesting and which not.

I don' hate any of them, just find their stories (so far) boring.
And what even is this comment? "Not going my way" and "sabotaging"? My rating is higher than yours, I have no desire to sabotage anything related to this drama.

Still 9/10 tho.

But it's true, when I lock in, I lock in. 🤣
