Beginner friendly to xianxia drama
Honestly if u have watched many xianxia drama there's nothing new in this drama, so if you watch this for the plot you might get disappointed. HOWEVER, if you wanna watch great acting with visual ofc (seasoned actors here), something light, easy to understand yet entertaining you will love this drama. Was this review helpful to you?
When I watched the trailer I knew this would be one of those light dramas, and I was actually expecting a low budget production, and to my surprise this one was actually really well produced and frigging hilarious!! The location, outfit etc looked really well made, the actors acting were pretty good, nothing too cringey whatsoever. For the ost, music etc, they didn't really stick on my head, meaning they're just okay (nothing bad), unlike the usual distinguished music/ost in the blockbuster dramas.
Highly recommended if you're looking for a good laugh.

This drama was SO GOOD! It's funny it's cute and made my heart feel so much emotion! I honestly wish that Kdrama would reduce the conflict scenes (the office talk if you know what I mean) and focus more on the growth of the two main characters instead? So there would be more romance OH MY THAT DEFINITELY WOULD BE SO AWESOME! MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILER AFTER THIS!
By the way, I think Min Kyu's disease was a little weird. So when the first time Ji-Ah touched him, his illness recurred but then when he touched her and thought that she was a robot nothing happened?! Even though at that time he hadn't has any feelings for her yet, and the fact that the filmmaker decided to cure his illness by "having someone special/connecting whatever" I was like WTH?!?!! I think it would be better if they just made Ji-Ah special from the beginning and that's why his illness didn't recur when he touched her instead of him having some connections with her (is that make sense?)
Nevertheless, highly recommended cause IT'S SO CUTE!

Might contain spoiler!!I watched like really watched only till ep 12 because I couldn't find the rest with Eng Sub on Youtube, and I KNOW that I can watch on another web but they kept on buffering it's driving me nuts!! Since I can understand a little bit of Chinese I kept on watching a few eps on Youtube to grasp what's happening next AND I couldn't believe it (please correct me if I'm wrong) that the guy's ex gf appeared and he apparently hadn't moved on or at least he still has feelings for her and suddenly his lost memories came back voilaaa.... For the last ep's sake I looked on another web with Eng Sub because I need to understand what the hell is going on, and damn that ending made me curse f*** that's it?!?
Oh on a different note, I swear the main girl resembled Tiffany Tang from Princess WeiYoung a lot even her voice!!

I think the actors did OK... but please don't compare Japanese's dramas to Korean's!! Because I feel like Japanese's they always try to make it as similar as possible to the original stories, and since they're usually based on famous manga they tend to exaggerate their expressions (maybe you can read some manga after this just to check if I was right xD) Oh and FYI if you didn't know, this one also based on famous manga with the same title :D
Nevertheless, this one is great to binge watch!! Especially if you're in "too lazy to think" condition!! Recommended...
NB: Sorry if I made grammar mistakes T.T

So the story is about a famous acupuncture doctor from the past (I forgot which dynasty), he somehow had the ability to travel to the future or go back to the past but he has to be dead first to be able to travel.... In the future, he met a modern girl doctor who happened to have a bad experience with acupuncture treatment (her family actually ran an acupuncture clinic) so his interactions with the girl at the beginning didn't go so well. However, they slowly understand each other and even help each other in crisis and OF COURSE, they slowly started to develop feelings for each other!!! then as usual conflicts happened and you have to watch this to see watch happened!! LOL
Highly recommended!!

Anyway!! The story as a whole I think it's about the same as the K-version... So basically, it's about a scholar/the queen's assistant from the past who received a pendant that has the power to bring him forward to the future to search for proofs to save his queen from false accusation?!? (I forgot, but I think they about to behead the queen)... In the future time, he met a rookie actress by accident #LOL and from here all the fun began!! In the beginning, the girl thought that he was crazy because he claimed to be from the past, but slowly she started to believe him and befriended him... and SLOWLY they both started to develop feelings for each other but conflicts happened in the future and past time!! Our main guy here uncertain which one to choose, go back to the past to save his queen or stay in the future with the girl he loves.
Oh and btw, every time he went back to the past and changed history, the memory of people from the future were shifted... WARNING!! There would be amnesia happenings here and there and you might shed tears!!

I have no complaint about this drama except that maybe if they can find a better actress for the main girl?? I don't dislike her, don't get me wrong it just that her acting was pretty stiff and seemed a little bit forced here :(( BUT still highly recommended!!

Acting wise, however, the actors they did a great job describing each character. Especially Xiao Huo, I feel really bad for him and wishing him a happy ending with a great woman (he sacrificed way too much for the main girl, it made my heart hurt T.T)!!

SPOILER ALERT!! I watched this solely because of the hot blue-eyed emperor LOL. I read many reviews about this being really good and I thought it only has 29 episodes so maybe I should give it a try. Honestly, I skipped a lot of episodes because I don't like the girl and others scenes that I think are really boring or ununderstandable. I forced myself to watch until episode 15 mainly because of the hot emperor (couldn't seem to take my eye off) and I really wanted to know HIS ending. I was hoping so badly that he would eventually get his wings and the girl would become his Empress and remains supposedly "goddess?!?" instead of just wandering together. I get the impression that without the goddess mark on her she is just too plain, annoying and troublesome (maybe I just don't understand her? I don't know) compared to the Emperor character.
For the cast though, I am definitely not complaining about the Emperor (not trying to be biased here, maybe a little LOL) I think he did a great job portraying the character with many insecurities beneath his ruthless exterior, but deep down he is a really caring person. I think his character is so cute with all of those nonsenses he said when what he really meant was something totally different (I guess he's just shy xD). However, the girl character I feel like she's lacking in development and I tried so bad to like her but I just couldn't. She kept on bring troubles everywhere she goes I swear! and that pained the Emperor which pained me!!
Maybe if the actress did a little bit better the character might be better too? I am not really sure. I guess I would recommend this for everyone else seems to like it just fine :D
