This drama revolves around Endo Keita, a man in his 30s who is transferred from head office to Narita Airport. Most of the staff are women, one of them being Morio Haruko who is completely hostile towards him and Baba Hanae seems to be the only one of the entire female staff who shows him any kindness.
Imaizumi Toshio is Endo's wacky manager who seems completely useless from the start, but he ends up helping Endo slowly learn to be passionate about his job, which is through helping all the customers resolve their troubles prior to their departure!
something completely original from most other dramas that probably isnt everyones cup of tea, but i would defiantly recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for a lighthearted drama about a bunch of people working at an airport with a tone of comady and a little bit of romance thrown in!
oh, and for all you other Yamamoto Yusuke fans out there, this role as the bubbly Edamoto Hisao will not disappoint you!

Atashinchi no Danshi is a light hearted and unique drama with a lot of comady and random over the top scenes that made this drama so fun to watch. the storyline is original and there wasn't any predicable or cliche moments that would get in the way of you expectations, its the type of drama where you don't know what is going to happen and anything can really happen!
in my opinion i thought the actors played their roles really well and i liked the way they all interacted with each other - Im a huge fan of Yamamoto Yusuke and Seto Koji!
Seto Koji did a really good job acting as a recluse and Okura Takeru made me laugh a alot - the entire cast did!
even though this drama is centred around family and comady, it did treat us to a little bit of romance - but i wish they added more romance into the storyline!
all in all, i absolutly love this drama! it was one of the first dramas i ever watched and id recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for a fun, quirky and light hearted drama and is a fan of Yamamoto Yusuke!

I don't think there was a single scene that was boring and even though i have watched the anime so i knew what to expect; the fighting scene was pretty epic and so was the music and images at the beginning so overall i think they did an awesome job putting this film together!!
the actors did a fantastic job portraying their characters considering most of them either suspicious or mentally disturbed - i guess i just really was characters that are really twisted and crazy; it spices things up!
like i said in my review to the other Higurashi film - try not to compare, watch with an open mind and enjoy!! :)

Yes, i have watched the entire anime series of Higurashi - I even got my cousin hooked on it, but when i watched the live action film I had to watch with an open mind and force myself not to compare it to the anime series, so to whoever is planning to watch this; i encourage you too as well! Just so no one gets confused this film is based on the first arc of the Higurashi series (the first four episodes of the anime). I'm trying not to reveal any spoilers but it think overall they did a really good job following the original Higurashi plot; while watching this film you will notice a few changes but the storyline was entirely still intact!
Unfortunately, if you have read the manga or seen the anime you will have that voice in the back of your mind saying "I know what's about to happen!" but i managed to look beyond it and concentrate on how the actors portrayed the characters, the small changes they made, and basically how they brought the series to life - and how much detail they put into the buildings, background scenery and even the telephone booth! (you fans will know what I'm talking about!)
so all in all, I enjoyed the film, the actors and writers did a good job producing it and made sure it didn't turn into complete garbage unlike a fair few manga/anime adaptations!
NOTE: There are a few gruesome scenes, its not outrageously gory but then again it might just be because i don't mind blood and gore so this is just a heads up for those of you who are easily scared or just can't handle bloody scenes!

LIFE is an extremely dark drama that focus' on school bullying and how it effects everyone; teachers, parents and of course, the students.
The acting was fantastic, they all managed to bring out the characters emotions really well, not to mention how freaking scary Hosoda Yoshihiko's acting was!
LIFE is the type of drama that is so insane and unpleasant but at the same time so compelling and brillaint that you just can't stop watching!
So much happens in each episode and each episode leaves you wanting more, another good thing is that each episode is only around 36 minutes long, so it doesnt drag on.
i also want to mention the music, the soundtracks were all perfect background music and fit in with the scenes really well - made me cry and smile and even gave me goosebumps in some scenes!
all in all, this drama is a much watch! i recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for a serious and dark drama, you will not regret it!
