so i liked it until they went and ruined the crown prince's character at ep 14. and this has nothing to do with stanning BWS atm. I was invested, and then instead of using that cunning brain of his, the crown prince just rolled over on his belly for his uncle for two whole episodes and considered murdering his friends... like wtf? why write that. why couldn't they do something where he was pretending to agree with his uncle? but no. It made no sense. the crown prince was so upset about his brothers death and then suddenly he doens't want to bring the person who murdered him to justice? even though he has a confession? like i get that he's protective of his mom and worried his mom might die, but he doesn't seem to care if they are in exile. it seems like a waste if all that was was just because he didn't want his mom to go into exile (although yes them potentially dying is a factor so i admit that).
I don't think she'll be back in the wheel chair like the preview suggests. I think she's probably just sitting. I think it's a red herring or something.
okay, yes Ryu Shi Oh is the bad guy. I know this. I know he is the villain. but he's the bad guy doing bad things to free himself from his abusers. So really, I mean, completely understandable. When your boogieman is massive, you got to be a giant to fight them. Why is it that the show had a redemption arc for almost every villain except him. He was the most interesting one. I wish the show focused more on him and Binbin. Because at the end, choosing to die instead of letting BinBin kill him was actually so heartbreaking. Anyway, a mid show that was carried by BWS. I like all the actors and everything but their characters sucked besides RSO.
This show is the perfect example of good visual effects and bending incorporated martial arts. I wish the showrunners of live action ATLA or any other live action show took notes. the show needs to lean into the campiness and corniness. It needs to be fast paced. It's not one stone moving at the pace that someone can just move to the side. It's rock man coming at you like a tornado!
Guys is this drama worth watching? Like is story pacing and plot good ?
It's a family drama first and foremost. So expect a lot of scenes with parents instead of ML. But it's pretty decently paced all things considered. A good story about trying to establish boundaries with parents and become independent.
okay watching the previews for 31 and 32 I'm just... why does the mom get a vote on who MCH dates? especially considering how she meddled in the last relationship!! I mean! come on!
This show is giving me everything!!! Why do I have to wait a week for the rest!!!!
