I think I might be in the minority who doesn't love the older brother or think he's a great character. I don't hate him but he definitely is not my fav or even close to it. If anything he's kind of worse than the other siblings because where the other siblings live in denial or just don't like ML and that's an honest emotion from them. The older brother clearly likes ML and knows his family is wrong to treat him poorly but does the bare minimum to help him. maybe that will change but that's how i view it for now.
Why are people downvoting episodes that have not even come out yet? I get that people had some expectations about this show that it didn't live up to but can people watch it for what it is and not what they wish it was... it's a soapy melodrama and it should be watched as one. I promise you will enjoy it 100x more.
Murong Qingyi is a dramatic sarcastic king and I love him. Loving the toxic relationship with his family. Can't wait to see him say screw it and just burn it all down.
it's licensed so it could happen any day now... but since there are other shows airing on the platforms right now that they don't want overdo to compete with, we may have to wait until june... unless those shows do poorly and they decide to drop early.
My theory right now is that the queen mother either killed the king or told her father that the king was going to abdicate and her father killed him. And Queen Mother blames Yi An for being too popular that it overshadows the crown.
maybe that will change but that's how i view it for now.
