In the Mahabharata the great archenemy of the Nagas (Tharn) is the massive eagle-king Garuda (Phaya) . Garuda and the Nagas were actually step-brothers. The sage Kashyapa had 13 wives; all were prajapati Daksha's daughters. One of them, Kadru desired many children while another, Vinata desired few but powerful offspring. Kasyapa, on the pleadings of his wives, granted them their wishes. Kadru laid a thousand eggs which hatched into snakes or the Nagas. Vinata on the other hand laid two eggs but they did not hatch for a long time. Impatient, Vinata broke open one egg, which was half formed. Her half-formed son cursed her, decreeing that she would be a slave for her sister for a long time. Later her second son will come to rescue her from this curse. Her first son then became Aruna, the red spectacle seen as the Sun rises in the morning; he became charioteer of the Sun. When the second egg hatched, a fully grown, shining and gigantic sized bird form emerged as Garuda, the king of birds. Vinata lost an unwise bet to Kadru, and became enslaved to her sister. As a result Vinata's son Garuda was required to do the bidding of the Nagas. Resolving to release his mother from this state of bondage, Garuda approached the serpents and asked them what it would take to obtain her freedom. Their reply was that Garuda would have to bring them the elixir of immortality or Amrita. It was an enormous task as the amrita was in the possession of the Devas. They guarded it zealously since it was the source of their immortality. Garuda defeated all the defenses setup by the Devas to protect the Amrita. He then held the Amrita in his beak and flew towards the Nagas. On his way, he encountered Lord Vishnu. Rather than fighting, the two exchanged promises. Vishnu promised Garuda the gift of immortality even without drinking from the elixir, and Garuda promised to become Vishnu's mount. Then Garuda brought the Amrita to the serpents to fulfill their condition, but through a deception prevented them from consuming it and achieving immortality. The Nagas were tricked to perform a holy bath before consuming the Amirita. In the meantime Indra swooped in to make off with the elixir. From that day onwards, Garuda was the ally of the gods and the trusty mount of Vishnu, as well as the implacable enemy of the Nagas, and prayed upon them on every opportunity.
I too loved Kiss Me Again. Their storyline in that series is one of the best enemies-to-lovers BL tropes even…
that petekao cut on youtube is what brought me into the bl world.... I lowkey need to give that a rewatch again and you're right.. one of the best enemies to lovers ever
the heavy policing stuff in episode 1 threw me off.. but I'm glad I stuck by it... and I'm in love with this series.. the chemistry and plot is amazing
Sam liked real zee?when?what did i miss?he doesn't know that this was zee's twin?
ummm...since the very first episode b4 the switch even happened lol.. have u been watching the show ? no one in the volleyball team knows about zee's twin lol
I think it's a missed opportunity to pair Sam up with real Zee though...he could have still been paired with Zee who he always liked... but the fact that its one actor playing both might have made it a bit complicated I guess lol.
the acting gives very CAMP.... it's not bad acting but it's very campy if u know what I mean.... and it feels like they meant for it to be like that... and even if they didn't.. it comes off that way lol.
for those who don't know what Camp means :
It's used sometimes too broadly, but in general it means overly exaggerated, very extra, extremely theatrical in an overdone way, but crucially also self-aware about it.
TayNew were my first BL loves b4 I discovered Maxtul... and I must say they delivered... so happy to see this ship has weathered the storm from 2016 when they first started and are still doing it almost 8 years later...
I don't know much about this kind of things but I don't think we can just replace some random eye, it doesn't…
yes so let's hope mhok eyes aren't coincidentally a match cause that would be unrealistic lol...but in the meantime I would think the family would be looking for a matching donor
what confuses me... is they are clearly wealthy... so if they are gonna do the thing where MHOK has an accident and he gives him his eyes.... it makes no sense... if he truly needed an eye surgery and they are wealthy... he can easily get it.. let's be real.. but BLs ignore logic at times so I get it.
