I wonder if the 0/5 rating wouldn't be better for MDL. Seems to work pretty well for Letterboxd. I think good but not amazing dramas would benefit from that.

I finished ep 03. I think they built an amazing world here, so amazing that I think they're wasting this with the high school bullying. I wanted them to go in other directions but seeing the mayor's son screentime, it looks like he will be the endgame.

I loved the new rating system. 8.0 is a great score for a drama like this. It's 08 out of 10, people, that's freaking good. MDL users think that a 7 is trash and that 8.8 is the pinnacle of television. Chill.

After watching two episodes this is exactly what I need. After a year of incest, bad time travel and lame love triangle, I really needed to see people being punched and an ahjumma being baddass.

they add another type of rating behind the scenes. I prefer it that way tbh. It's better having a drama inscreasing its rating week after week than having dramas with 8.8 first week even though they're not that good.

We should prepare ourselves to have a lot of questions without answers. The writer did an amazing job at creating this world but I feel like there will be no time to tie all the loose ends.

Yeah. I don't think the glasses are needed. Somehow it tells me that either the actor is not good enough to pull the good and bad guy with a plot device that makes it possible, or that the writer isn't clever enough to find a better solution.

EP 08 was easily the worst so far. It almost made me drop this. I hate when everyone starts acting dumb so the story could progress. Good writers don't need to pull this. I hope it's the only time for this drama.

Same thing here. If you're starting with kdramas, watching the best rated here might give you an wonderful time, but anything bellow the 8.8 rating is as random as possible. There are a few gems with 8.2/8.3 and some really dumb dramas with a 8.6 or 8.7 just because an idol-turned-actor is the lead. That's probably the only issue I have with this site. I don't think there are a lot of people here using the 0-10 scale properly, most people think as the number 7 as trash and 10 as wonderful.

I never said it was though. I only said that it was there but it's ok because there are other things to pay attention to. That's why I mentioned that I've only seen 07 episodes.

I just finished ep 07 and here are my considerations:

What's good: everything is there. No matter the twist, the seeds were planted at some point before the revelation. There's no character that comes out of the blue with some knowledge that we didn't know beforehand. I also like the plot device used in this drama. It's not OP but it works nicely.

What's meh: After a while, you kinda know where everything is going. Since the pace is really fast it also tells that that there's always a bigger fish, and I pretty much know already who's the killer whale of this drama. It's not a bad thing because as I said in the first part, everything was there from the beginning.

What'd bad: The FL lead's crying skills and Seo Do adjusting his glasses like he's in Neon Genesis Evangelion.
