Title Never Gone
Viki is seeking licensing.https://www.viki.com/tv/36376c-never-gone
Oh good! Because YT has been yanking down videos - boo. I'm really enjoying the drama so far, especially the young actors. I'm almost sad the drama has transitioned back to the adult actors playing themselves in university. Their younger counterparts were doing such a good job! ;)

soo is this set in Paris ?
No, a few parts of the story take place in Paris, as both characters have connections to that place, but the bulk of the drama takes place in Shanghai.

Title Accidentally in Love Spoiler
-SPOILER ALERT- Okay I have to admit, I loved everything about this drama EXCEPT the ending. I just don’t like…
Si Tu Feng's career didn't plummet and they didn't have a kid. Both those things that we "saw" were from Chen Qing Qing's manga that she was writing by the end of the drama. Even Si Tu Feng, in the very end scene, is wondering why she's writing about both those things in her book. As Chen Qing Qing runs away, she reassures him that his career will rebound at some point, i.e., that she'll fix his career in her story.

The above drama summary is a little misleading in that Ruan Man Jun doesn't get disbarred and doesn't go to prison. Maybe that's how it is in the book, but in the drama, she serves as a witness at a trial, and as a result of her testimony the defendant suffers a heart attack and ultimately dies. At the time, she testified based on what she knew, but later she realizes that the defendant was innocent and she was purposely misled by her ex-boyfriend who had framed the defendant. These key differences make the drama a little less Secret-like. :)

are they really trying to guilt trip Si Tu Feng into marrying Xin Ya? That's fucked up. Not only for Si Tu Feng…
Yup. And not not only that, but she clearly needs more therapy/treatment than a band-aid solution. That was seriously one of the most frustrating arcs of the drama.

Oh, yeah, no. Maybe you were thrown off because the above drama summary says she has a "dual personality"? But it's not that she has a dual (or bipolar) personality; rather, she's pretending to be two different people. The result of that is that it leads more hilarious, hijinks scenarios than melodramatic ones. AIL is cute, light, and fluffy. Give it a try! :)

does the female lead have two people in her or does she live two different lives??????????
She has reason to disguise herself while at school (but uses her real name). But other times she pretends to be someone else (using a fake name) but doesn’t wear a disguise.

NGL. It was pretty painful to sit through. But fortunately, as with most roadblocks that the OTP encounter in this drama, it’s solved pretty quickly. Then you’ll be back in happy land. ;)

Yup. So aggravating, right? But he was served a massive guilt trip from that older female friend of theirs. Plus the girl’s mom said they never blamed him for the death of their other daughter and pleaded with him to make sure they wouldn’t lose their remaining daughter too, which heaped on the guilt.

Goblin the movie, or drama? I want to look it up if possible.
I think they mean that scene in Goblin (Korean drama) where Shin and Eun Tak are watching a movie and when zombies appear, he screams and sends his popcorn flying.

Also the fact that their “engagement” ceremonies kept looking like an actual wedding. I was getting so confused…
I see the engagement ceremony thing a lot in dramas, actually, so that wasn't something I batted an eye over. I think they like to use it especially in cases where the one member of the OTP is being promised to another. Going through the motions of a formal ceremony heightens the tension for the viewers because it's understood that once formally promised to another, that makes that couple that much harder to break up. On the other hand, it's not an actual wedding so breaking up the non-OTP is not impossible for that HEA. :P

For the most part, LXY's "threat" to the OTP was so laughable that I didn't give her much thought. Whenever she harassed QQ, it just felt like a fly buzzing about; something easily swatted. But the suicide attempt followed by the biggest guilt trip ever was a game changer and quite frustrating. Mostly, I was annoyed by all the suggestions the solution was for STF to cave. What kind of moronic logic was that? How about helping her by getting to the actual root of the problem? I was so glad when GNX and the other guy told off that older female friend of theirs who was such a bad influence on LXY.

There are 30 episodes -- If you're on ep 19, you'll have your revelation soon. Fortunately, they don't wait for the end for that to happen.

Just finished watching the remaining 6 episodes and awww, so cute (minus the moments where LXY really had my blood boiling). Some things don't really make sense and/or are patently unrealistic (like why is the kitten still a kitten by the end?) but if you look past the logistics, overall, AIL is a sweet and adorable story, with some cute acting to boot. I just love QQ and STF's facial expressions! I want to draw hearts around them - haha!
