Listen, if you haven't started this drama and you're unsure if you should give it a chance, here's my advice: DON'T WATCH IT unless you love pain, unrelenting sadness, and death. And the worst possible kind of angst. Like, I'm a sobbing mess after every freaking episode. The characters can't catch a break and neither can the viewers. Don't get me wrong, this drama is incredible, the acting, directing, cinematography, OST, and storyline--AMAZING but it's so freaking DEPRESSING. If I wasn't so sad after watching this drama, I would recommend it to more people. But this show is too emotionally draining.
Ah, Okay! You're the smart one, lol. I wish I would of waited until tomorrow to watch both episodes bc now I'm on the edge of my seat to know what happens next. And same. I usually watch dramas on Viki and DF as well. This is actually my first time watching a K-drama on a free site and dramahood is the first site that popped up when I searched for The Guest. Would you recommend one of the other sites you mentioned over dramahood? I had problems with the video crashing midway through. But thankfully I was able to finish episode 1.
I am LOVING the darker themed dramas we're getting this year. And having watched episode 1 of The Guest, I can already tell it's going to be a hit. This and The Ghost Detective are both turning out to be FANTASTIC.
This is quickly turning out to be one of my favorite dramas of 2018. I haven't been this invested in a storyline or a set of characters in a while now. But this drama has my full attention with each episode and by the time the credits roll, I'm left wanting more. LOVE IT
I haven't heard anything about it... I don't know why DF got The Player instead of this one...
Ah man, that's disappointing info. This was one of my most anticipated dramas of 2018. I was really hoping one of the major streaming sites would pick it up. Hopefully, Netflix will license it after its completion like they did with Black and Life. Thank you for answering back, much appreciated! (:
The action scenes are so well done! So hype when Lee Yool dodges those arrows. Also damn, not only is Lee Yool's…
Totally agree with everything you've said! Especially your theory about the queens son being the crown princesses baby daddy. I also got that vibe while watching ep 2.
Their relationship is so cute! I love how it develops as well. They didn't go straight into the romance, they…
I agree. I hate when dramas start with such promise but fall flat towards the end. Hopefully, this drama won't be one of THOSE. I'm leaning towards it won't be as of now bc I'm liking what I'm seeing and we're about half way through the show and there's so much going on in the plot rn to cause the drama to drag at this point.
well i am not so sure about the cutting family ties, but it certainly does mean dishonoring her and maybe have…
It could very well mean that as well. To me, all interpretations of this scene are valid. I think everyone has a logical point to their theories of said scene. And I think the scene can be interpreted in many different ways as well. Mr. Sunshine is a very symbolic and metaphoric drama that makes people have to think. It's definitely not a mindless drama where you can skip a few scenes and know exactly what's going on. If you miss even the slighest detail in this drama, you'll be confused as hell, lol. Anway, thank you for sharing your interpretation and adding others thoughts as well (: It helps me to fill in places I more than likely missed myself when dissecting the scene.
