Before abolishing the monarchy, can I at least see both of them do something ‘monarchical’? 😭 I’m still waiting to see them act like a King and Queen in public for once lol.

Will there be a plebiscite or something to determine whether the nation actually wants the monarchy to end? Maybe I’m overthinking the drama, but I can’t see how I-An could abolish the monarchy when he has no real political power or authority to amend the constitution. They’ll have to show a bit more to convince my legal mind how a purely nominal monarch could decide something that huge, especially when the cabinet is completely against it. Abdicate? Sure. But abolish the monarchy? Dubious.

I’m sincerely hoping, fingers crossed, that they wrap up all the political stuff in the first half of the episode and give me the fluff in the second half. Difficult? Absolutely. But one can dream.

I seriously wonder what they’ll do with the PM in the end. Will he actually be punished, or will it just be I-An and Hui-Ju condemning him without anything substantial happening?

I liked that they actually talked things out before the kiss instead of using the kiss to magically solve everything.

The first thing I-An needs to do after ascending the throne is set up a fire department in the palace, lol.

I think QM’s father trying to assassinate the Grand Prince would be a way bigger scandal anyway. Those articles about her faking the collapse probably won’t even last once the evidence comes out.

Didn’t he have evidence of QM’s father’s crimes? He could’ve used that to threaten her, no? And what even happened to the evidence and all? Is he seriously never going to reveal what actually happened behind that whole poisoning incident?

Can’t they just deny it though? Why keep insisting on the truth when they’re in love with each other anyway and the contract means nothing now? She has such a powerful PR team and everything, and this is the best they can do?

I guess I-An’s definitely up to something with that half-burnt edict. But seriously, can’t they give us even the tiniest glimpse of his plan? It’s so frustrating watching him just stand there and take it every time QM spits those poisonous words at him. I just need to know he’s actually working on something behind the scenes!

I definitely love second season more than the first one. The first one had that ragebaiting Su family, but this one has warm and “homey” feelings.

True. I’m loving those ML’s political scenes, but not those “annoying” scenes. Well, taste plays an important role in dramas, after all. :)

I know he’s young, but other characters his age feel pretty different from him. Even the FL is young, but she comes across quite differently. He’s actually quite clever in other situations, like how he keeps the FL’s father in check, or takes the crown prince to Chen’s place so he can’t really say anything. Still, he just feels a bit too “arrogant” and “entitled” to me, I guess.

Or it could just be my personal dislike for this kind of character.

Dude, is this ever coming or not?

I guess I’m the only one here who isn’t liking Ye Xian. Maybe characters like this just don’t suit my taste.
