I was definitely hooked by Se Hee's and Ji Ho's story at the beginning but at the end, it's the other 2 supporting stories that kept me interested in this drama. Without Soo Ji's and Ho rang's, this show would have suffered tremendously. Se Hee's and Ji Ho's interactions for me was a major snoozefest halfway through the show. I hated how Ji Ho always looked down or stared at the wall or somewhere else whenever they would talk to each other. I wanted to give her a shake and scream "Please look at Se Hee!" This is why I didn't feel much chemistry between the leads. They lacked connection, their conversations were too dry and dragging. Ji Ho has for majority of the scenes, the same expression on her face as if she was daydreaming all the time. It got tiring and old way too quickly for me.
What I really loved was the freshness that Soo Ji Brought and Sang Goo was lovable too. Ho Rang's and Won Seok's story was what made me finish this drama, it gave me heartaches and I really felt their pain as a couple.

Han So Hee killed it in this drama

Han So Hee blew me away! She showed a wide variety of emotions and she nailed each one every time. She finally got rid of her blank expressions which were noticeable in her earlier works but I didn't see one blank expression at all in this series. She has grown so much as an actress in such a short amount of time. She's no longer just a pretty face and her acting skills has definitely surpassed her visuals. I truly believe she deserves an award for the way she portrayed this role. Outstanding to the point she outshone PSJ on several scenes, eventhough PSJ was excellent as well. Love love love this drama. although it's fiction , I really felt like the dialogue had more meaning as if giving a tribute to what happened in the past in real life. You can feel the injustice and pain of war's victims while watching this drama. Excellent cast, very good script, outstanding acting.

The best of 2020!

This drama is the COMPLETE PACKAGE. The cast was excellent. The story beyond amazing. The music, just perfect. From ep 1 you will be hooked by the storyline and the characters. You'll keep on guessing if Hyun is really bad or good, whether his relationship with his wife and family is all a facade. It will also make you scratch your head trying to guess who the real accomplice is, I know I did. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, then I find out I was wrong. There was something new in every episode that you will never lose interest and the depth of emotions that the leads displayed was so remarkable. Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won really outdid themselves. Lee Joon Gi can display so many different emotions on his face in a matter of seconds, what a pro. This is really such a turnaround from his last drama, Lawless lawyer which I hated. This drama for me is the BEST this year, period. I can't stop raving about it and it definitely is in my top 3 of my all time fave dramas. What a satisfying watch and my expectations had been exceeded.

I love Lee Joon Gi but Lawless Lawyer was disappointing. The things that Cha Moon Sook did to try and save her butt, she could have done at the very beginning and this show would have been finished by episode 2. So many moves were just pointless and not even smart, considering how cunning she was supposed to be. It's just poor writing. The actors tried their best with the script they were given however there was no realistic chemistry between Bong Sang Pil and Ha Jae I. I also hated the way Bong Sang Pil walked in this show, because Lee Joon Gi was trying so hard to look cool, that I always saw Lee Joon Gi as Lee Joon Gi, not Bong Sang Pil, like he was not one with his character. The fight scenes were cool though.

I know it's only May, but I'm already calling it, THIS IS THE BEST ROMCOM DRAMA OF 2019.
The onscreen chemistry of the actors is skyrocketing and it just keeps getting better and better. I've never been more satisfied with the pace and story development, HPL just keeps giving and I'm getting all the feels. And the kissing scenes, wow, just WOW, you won't be able to get it out if your head. The acting is definitely on-point, you couldn't have asked for a better cast. I'm really in love with this drama and it's your loss if you don't watch this.

If you are looking for a drama that focuses on the importance of family and friendship, this is it.

If you are looking to watch this for the romance storylines, you will be satisified with one, with Bora's and Sun Woo's but the primary romance plot, for me was such a failure.

I really was rooting for Jung Hwan (Ryu Jung Hyeol). Not sure what the writers were thinking. It felt like they were trying to build Taek's (Park Bo Gum) character) character so much to make him look like a big shot and of course the big shot is deserving of the girl and not Jung Hwan. Or so that the interview would make sense, bec otherwise why would anyone interview them if she did not end up with Taek. I really can't see how Deok Sun (Hyeri) could fall for a guy who didn't even know how to tie his shoelaces properly. Taek's helplessnes was not as adorable as they tried to make it out to be in this drama and it really felt like he was looking for more of a mother figure and not a girlfriend.

If Deok Sun had ended up with Jung Hwan, it would have made more sense because they had better chemistry together. Deok Sun and Taek's scenes were so boring for me that I skipped through most of them. While with Deok Sun and Jung Hwan, there was real friction.

But I really like the parent and child storylines here, they were beyond good. I cried when Bora's dad read her letter and there were lots of remarkable lines as well.

You'll enjoy and learn a thing or two

I'll be honest. I watched this bec of Cha Eun Woo bec I recently just discovered him and my oh my, I'm in love. Lol. I mean his face in itself is an aphrodisiac, it's so hard not to stare at him, he's too damn beautiful *sigh*

Ok now back to the review, at first I found it hard to relate to her since I've never had plastic surgery, not that there is nothing I wouldn't want to change on my face. But as I continued to watch, she is what we, females, are. We're all insecure at one point and always want to change something in ourselves, whether we want to lose weight, whiten our skin, etc. And this drama addresses those issues and how society puts too much importance on looks that it influences a lot of our actions, thoughts and decisions. I was expecting a romcom but I also got a drama that made me take a look at how I perceive those who had gone under the knife, how I'd judged them when really it's none of my business. And that's why I like this drama bec it made me want to be less superficial.

As for the acting, the actors did well. This role suited Eun Woo because he was able to deliver the cold/distant personality well and the scenes where he was jealous eas just hilarious. I love watching his reactions on scenes when they'd be alone at home, lol.

As for the onscreen chemistry, i'll give it a 7. I think its obvious that the fl is much older, its just not believable that she is 20.

I'd definitely watch this again.

The actors need to wake up and deliver what they signed up for. I feel like they're too afraid to cross the line, just cause SHK is married and PBG is close friends with her husband. Their kiss for me is the cringiest onscreen kiss ever, it's like kissing a wall. Even the editor knew it too, they showed the back of SHK'S head so many times and a very far shot of the kiss just to mask the god awful kissing scene. There's absolutely no heat between them which is impossible for this drama because SHK is playing a divorcee. Yes, she's a very respectable divorcee but she isn't some virgin. There were already many scenes where they were alone in a room and NOTHING HAPPENED. PBG is playing an innocent unassuming man but he is still a MAN, not some saint. The director needs to get a grip and manage these actors better than this. The lines in the script always say they have deep feelings for each other but I don't see it, so far they've been giving either a sis-bro or mom-son vibe. It's so frustrating because this drama could be good but the actors are holding back which is so unprofessional. All love stories even real ones are filled with lust too. The actors should show us what it's really like when a 30-something woman gets together with a hot 20-something guy. They should take pointers from the male and female leads of Something in the rain drama, now THAT was good acting. But in this one, it's just pretty faces and sentimental lines, that's basically it.

Failed to surpass Love Alarm 1

Let's start with the positive. I liked the ending because I'm happy with whom she ended up with. The acting was good and the music was excellent.

Now the the downside, the script for the season 2 was average. It was obvious they didn't have enough material for s2, i spent a lot of time skipping through staring into space and walking aimlessly on the streets scenes. These scenes made this season quite dragging and boring, they were obviously fillers and there was a LOT of them *sigh*.

I probably would not watch this again. I wasm't impressed like in s1. I dont't hate it but I don't love it either.

The moral of story is what makes this worthwhile

This is not the best but it's not the worst either. The production/story reminded me a bit of Willy Wonka. The acting was satisfactory but I was not blown away. But of course JCW's visuals did blow me away haha. What really stuck to me was the message it imparted. I think it is important to realize that following one's heart matters, even if that makes u different from everyone else. We don't have to conform to society's standard of what is acceptable and respectable. We should allow ourselves to be who and what we want to be, regardless of what anyone thinks.

Did not live up to my expectations

I admit I was one of those who were so curious as to who the hell Big Mouth is. The build-up was really nice and I fell for how I wanted Chang Ho to be the real Big Mouse. And it was going great until they finally revealed who Big Mouth really was, like many other viewers at first I was in denial. I was unimpressed. That's Big Mouth?! I have nothing against Noh Park but he just did not live up to my expectations, lol. Ok so that was disappointment #1. #2 the villains, Gong Ji Hoon started off as a really bad theh by the end of the series, it was like he lost all steam and he just had nothing left up his sleeve. The big bad daddy of all was Choi Do Ha however I just didn't buy into the bad guy act of Kim Jeo Heon.. I've seen him play too many goody goody roles that althought he acted well, it still felt like it wasn't enough... like I still needed more convincing that he was bad. I never felt scared or threatened by him while I was watching. Never felt the need to curse him or swear at my screen. Lol. #3 Ko Mi Ho, didn't look sick.. or they just don't want Yoona to look ugly? So as a dying woman, it was pretty hard to feel sorry for her character... #4 Lee Jong Suk was so good at this drama, especially at the start, but in the last few episodes, it felt like he was just being a ramp model lol, but damn he looked good. And for me the emotion he showed when his wife died wasn't enough.. so I didn't even feel bad when I watched that scene. The biggest disappointment really was the writing... it was good at the beginning but failed to deliver at the end.

Also what was the point of showing us all that gold right from the start? Then at the end, it's like it didn't even matter.

Way too easy

How the heck did San Mang survive that fall? He literally fell from the rooftop. How? How? Someone pls explain. Apart from that mind boggling event, I enjoyed this drama but not as much as I expected. It just felt like there wasn't much obstacles blocking Hee Woo's way in his 2nd life since he had all this information from his past life. Things went according to his plan almost all of the time. Due to this, it felt predictable and less exciting as I knew that he was most likely going to get his way. This is a good enough drama but not as a good Flower of Evil, not even close. And can they pls cast another actor as the villain for this type of drama next time. That actor has played so many of the same roles like can he please play like a poor person for a change or at least something else where he is not a chairman, an assemblyman, or someone with tremendous influence and power.

Where to begin? When I discovered this drama almost 2 yrs ago, I wasn't expecting how much I would grow to love this drama. I fell in love with it and still in love with it. I've watched this more than 5x and I never get tired of it. It just has all the feels. The love triangle here was the best. Hands-down best love triangle out of all the dramas I've watched. It's just so hard to choose between these 2 oh so different male leads. Lee Hwa Shin (Jo Jung Suk) was the stubborn/cocky hard-hitting reporter but do everything-for-love type from picking up Pyo Na Ri using the station's chopper to admitting to the entire nation about his illness. Then Ko Jung Won was the sweet, sexy and uber-considerate guy who chose to pursue an ordinary girl despite the huge difference in their social status. The way they express love is so different but they're both intense and sincere. Pyo Na Ri is the unassuming girl who had a three-year crush on Hwa Shin but kept getting rejected and just when she was ready to give up on Hwa Shin and fall in love with his best friend, that's when Hwa Shin realized his feelings for her. I love the internal struggles that the 3 characters went thru. It reminds me how messy love is and how strong the feelings usually are when u first fall in love. I love how the writers was able to seamlessly incorporate their work life into the love story. I love how the two male leads competed with each other but still cared for each others as best friends at the same time. I love how Pyo Na Ri who had no one who loved her in the beginning suddenlu had two men fighting over her. I can't imagine a better cast, the actors have surpassed my expectations. Plus that kissing scene between Jo Jung Suk and Gong Hyo Jin. Just WOW. Jo Jung Suk, what can I say, he's a damn good kisser and the tv screen doesn't lie. I also love the ost! I've lost count how much I've listened to Lovesome. The other characters and storylines are also quite enjoyable. I also love the symbolism with the slippers. I will never get tired of this drama and will always be one of my top favorites.

Why oh why didn't I watch this sooner? I can't believe how many times I passed by this title and didn't bother clicking, I was such a fool!

This drama has now become my NUMBER 1 FAVORITE OF ALL. It's original, it keeps you guessing, it touches your heart, it makes you laugh, it makes you fall in love, makes your heart break, it's just a freakin' good drama!

The characters, main and supporting were perfectly written and perfectly portrayed by the actors. I can relate so much to Oh Hae Young who's just all in when she's in love because I'm just as crazy when I was in love.

This drama moved me so much and I have not been so affected like this by a drama in such a long time.

If you like to dramas that make you swoon, angry, and cry. This is for you and you won't regret it. By end of ep1, you will be hooked!

Soooo boring

I wanted to like, i really did. But I gave up. I'm dropping this after only 3 eps because after seeing 3 eps, I'm still not curious and I'm not entertained, so what's the point. On the outside, it seems like a perfectly formulated drama but once you watch, it'a so bare that there's not much to see. There was no chemistry between the leads. The story didn't have a wow factor. The supporting cast was not interesting. I couldn't watch an episode straight because it made me want to sleep or do something else, it just can't hold my interest for long.
