Now that I think of it The Secret of Us is a Thai GL that also largely follows women that are working full-time. I also recommend the second season of The Age Of Youth (Korea drama) as a general woman-centric series (with a little queerbait for garnish).

View and Min really steal the show, I love Oat's character so much, they add a more grown-up vibe to this series' soft aesthetic. I do feel like Min being directed to look off into the void during the longer dialogues is a bit unfortunate. I get that they were probably trying to show how much armour someone as broken-hearted Nene requires, but I feel it dims Min's light when her eyes could convey so much more feelings.

Hi, does anyone know if there are any Thai GL series where both main characters are in their 30s? :)
I don't know of any, the GL genre is only just losing its training wheels so there isn't much variety yet. From what I remember there's a 2015 pinoy GL called The Rich Man's Daughter with something of an 'Imagine Me & You' premise where the characters are in their later twenties (or at least at an age where they're expected to settle down).

Pam breaking up with Kawi and confessing to Dokrak were both incredible scenes, but why did they take place in such public uncomfortable places? At least the confession scene could have been on a quieter street or something (T-T)
Still GL of the year tho, love them.

Hats off for writing so many novels, and for all she has done for Thai GL. The same tropes she uses were very common when BL was just starting out as well and it took a while before we got BLs with different themes, so I can somewhat understand why her novels were amongst the first to get published.... but by the grace of Subaru, can we please get GLs by a different writer 😭 even MAME doesn't have a monopoly this large. Also PLEASE can we have some tomboys, how is Chao Planoy literally a tomboy herself but none of her works feature tomboys as main characters 😭😭

Wdym?
Well, I haven't watched it for one, but the reason I ask is mainly because even if there aren't any indicative tags, some of the promotional shots have a certain vibe to them that made me curious, so I was looking for a second opinion. Gosh, I feel old.

I mean, is it gay? Does this feature homoerotic subtext/tension and/or non-heterosexual characters?

Can someone please get GMMTV to stop deleting the original pilot trailers off of youtube 😭. I get that they want you to watch the 'proper' trailer but like, that's precious gay history right there.

I'm not entirely convinced by the casting for Fuma... Asahi has this calm-and-mature vibe to him instead of the himbo vibe I'd expect from Fuma, besides he looks almost tiny next to Shoma... guess we'll see...

What's with lee do hee and his lipstick
The way he applies his lipbalm (holding it like a pen, tracing his lips one by one instead of smearing it over both simultaneously mouth pressed closed while holdingnit like a dagger) and how often he applies lip is a conscious choice made by the filmmakers.

I assume it's a form of queercoding, a subtle 'effeminate' habit that hints to us the viewers (as well as to Juyeong) that he might not be your average masc heterosexual guy.

This isn't to say that I think straight guys can't apply lipbalm in a normal way and have to perform some form of fabricated masculinity, but it is what most of them do (because having similar mannerism to a woman applying lipstick is something misogyny asks men to stay away from).

Going against that gendered cultural norm (in the 2000s, any type of grooming really), implies gender-non-conformity. This gender-non-conformity in mannerisms implies he might also be gender-non-conforming in other ways (such as deviation from heterosexuality).
