This was my VERY FIRST drama. Now that I am going back to review it after a year has passed (yes, I am very new to dramas), my feelings towards it have changed (naturally .. after seeing 10 others now). I watched this on a whim .. mainly because I liked the title and it appeared closer to the top of the alphabetical list of dramas on crunchyroll.

There was definitely enough going on to keep me interested, but 31 episodes was WAY too long. Some areas dragged and some areas could have used more attention, imo.

I don't remember the acting being horrible, but I don't remember it being that great either. I felt that the main characters had chemistry and I was pleasantly suprised to find out that they got married in real life after shooting this drama.

We all have had songs that we identify with certain dramas. I don't particulary have a song that stood out for me in this one nor do I remember any of the songs or score. Although, this may be because a year has passed.

Sadly, I will not be rewatching this drama. 31 episodes is a lot especially when there weren't too many memorable scenes.

My review would have been very different had I reviewed it right after watching. None the less, it'll hold a special place in my drama loving heart (hence the 7/10 overall rating).

I haven't watched too many dramas so this may not be true for you, but I thought the story was unique. It may be easier to watch if you look at it through a more conservative stand point and also if you are aware of Korean customs. Looking at it from a Westerner's point of view, I didn't think that the whole "parents-in-love kids-in-love" thing was THAT big of a deal. OK, yeah .. it's kinda weird LOL, but its not like they were blood related and they didn't grow up as siblings.

There were parts that dragged .. but I didn't mind. I don't think I would ever not finish a drama. Maybe for the sake of finishing the story or in hopes it'd get better (or for the eye candy alone .. ahem JGS). I would rather a drama be 20 episodes and drag then a drama be 15 episodes and not be enough. Although I enjoyed the interactions between In Ha and Yoon Hee (as adults), I wish they would have cut it down a bit and explored the friendship between Sun Ho and Ha Na or Sun Ho and Jun.

I really liked seeing the actors play their roles in the 70's and then play completely different roles in the present day. You can really see the difference in their performances and I appreciated that.

The cinematography and music were on point when it came to creating the mood (I bought the OST on iTunes midway through the drama and I love it).

As far as rewatching .. I've already watched this drama twice. I will probably watch it again, but only my favorite episodes.

Aside from being a total JGS fangirl, I really enjoyed this drama!
