This is the way the Entertainment Business works.... to Entertain. Just like the dramas... Real-life is not that interesting, so they create drama. And it makes millions/billions of dollars. Look at the Kardashian reality shows. They created that show... and people think its real-life but its CREATED. Yes, the family is real, but they write out each episode, the concept, topic, and then they film it. It's not just having a cell phone and video camera with you and recording as you go. It's ALL PLANNED. There needs to be a storyline. The Kardashians created and built this made-up story around their lives and made billions from it. And, people think it's all real. It works....

You can blame the script writers for the VARIETY SHOWS.

If you look at the article, this is taken out of a Chinese Variety Show. Chinese Variety Shows are ALL SCRIPTED, just like promotional events, awards shows.... I'm in marketing, promotions in the US and this is how it works. It's even more so in China... The actors are just saying their lines. You can research this. The public/audience doesn't know this, and will believe everything they see. But, the poor actors are blamed unfortunately to allow the narrative of the show (written by script writers) to work. Look at all these Chinese Variety shows - for example, the popular Hello Saturday - ALL SCRIPTED. You can see them rehearsing before the show and their lines prior to the show going live.. The writers of the show need to communicate a story (a narrative) that is interesting and engaging for the auidence. The shows are ALL PLANNED... and the more controversial the topic, the more buzz and viewership the show creates.... It's ALL MARKETING.

Again, this is all fake news, gossip, twisting information something that was said on a variety show. I want to remind everyone that CHINESE VARIETY SHOWS are SCRIPTED. The actors on the variety shows DO NOT get to say things FREELY. It is SCRIPTED. But the actors get paid well to be on the variety shows and it's less of a commitment (10 shows approximately) than a drama that has 36 episodes and 3-4 months of filming. This is WHY Actors do these Variety Shows. This is ALSO WHY SOME Actors DO NOT participate because the variety shows and may make them look less favorable... For Example, Leo Luo (Luo Yun Xi) does not participate for this reason. because things are taken out of context and he was burned previously. Now he builds his career on good acting, and roles that he creates.

First of all, a lot of Chinese expressions/words cannot be interpreted literally. If yo u use google translate, you get a literal translation that may not be what the meaning is. I don't read chinese, though I did take 1 semester in college and know enough to describe how translations are misleading. For example, each Chinese word has it's own meaning (like a picture) then when you combine it with another word it will give you a completely different picture and thus interpretation. It's not like the English alphabet.... so some of the interpretations can't be fully explained. This is why we complain about the translations of chinese dramas when it is done by machine, whereas, Viki, there are people translating and given depth and accuracy to the information. These articles are taking information out of context and gossip/tabloid news. Do you believe tabloid news?

yeah kdrama is more explicit with intimacy, whereas cdrama was censoring all kinds of things heavily starting around 2020, and that's why you don't see BL dramas in China.

Oh, I'm not complaining.... like pleasantly surprised. like how did this pass censorship? The other was the kiss in The Prisoner of Beauty (another recent drama) - that close up of Man Man and Wei Shao's kiss was very, very up close - if you know what I mean....💏💋 I remember when they did the livestream with LYN and SZE and they both had a visceral reaction, and were somewhat embarassed..😂
