He’s just horny af. In the novel he had to wait 2 years for the cake. They did some fooling around, but he didn’t…
@Jk_adramaobssessed 2-3 years is insanity... I wonder if it's supposed to be the same time frame on the show? I was going to say, it doesn't feel like it... But when I think about it, there are examples of pretty big events happening "overnight". Like CC and WSW suddenly having a fully developed company from one episode to another lol. I guess it makes sense that a lot of time has passed since the beginning.
But yes, Chi Cheng and Cheng Yu both need a medal for their patience.
Me, as I wake up in the morning: Ahh time for another day of worshipping Revenged Love directed by Gong Yu Shi without worrying about the cast's personal affairs!
sorry but i need chi cheng and cheng yu to kiss at least once 😩🥵
Same 😩 Even if it's a flashback. We know they used to be close enough to make Chi Cheng's bf jealous and they have a long history of hooking up with the same people. That's BASIC psychology saying they secretly want to smooch each other.
The most charismatic and charming cast ever.... Check
AMAZING chemistry between all of the characters.... Mix as you please and it just works no matter what!.... Check
BOTH couples are as good as each other (when does that EVER happen?).... Check
FUNNY AS HELL.... Check
Every single trope you can think of that you love will probably be here.... even the ones that are kind of out there and you usually only get in fan fiction.... Check
Because I trust what the actual creator of the show is saying? If that makes me naive, fine. Honestly, aren't you tired of spreading negativity? How much reassurance do we need?
I'll tell you what. If by next monday, we haven't received an episode yet, I'll panic with you. But for now I have hope because I have no reason not to.
So they didn't postpone it to tone down the homoeroticism (or god forbid cancel it) but to actually edit the scenes to be more satisfying to fans? To "enhance the viewing experience" which is literally what they said to begin with?
So good things still happen to simple folks with pure hearts?
I think even the actors might not want the rest of the episodes to be released if the drama is blacklisted in…
@ib I completely get where you're coming from but:
1) "If the drama is blacklisted in China." I thought it was that from the beginning? All of the cast and crew went into it knowing it wouldn't be broadcast in China, no?
2) Even if the cast wouldn't want the show to continue (which would be extremely sad), I don't see how it would be up to them? "They don't want to take the risk" ... but they already took the risk by getting into the project...
I understand that some of the cast have been dealing with some really crazy stalker fans which is obviously upsetting. I suppose maybe it's possible to cancel the show if somebody's safety is in jeopardy but I've never heard about that happening before.
I'm totally new to Chinese drama, so I don't really know what I'm talking about, though. Just trying to keep a positive outlook.
Remember last week when people had the audacity to complain about a kissing scene being edited weird... Those "problems" were a luxury compared to what we're facing now 😭

Romantic... Sexy... Silly.... Check-check-check
I'm genuinely in awe.
Me: But that's actually just him being a guardian angel and a green flag

(to anyone who might have read it)
At around what chapter does Xiao Shuai and Cheng Yu get together? I'm curious about how far into the story it happens.
