She understands him. She knows that he didn't win that battle with is mother as child when he put an end to his mother's goals for him. She knows that he still feels unworthy of love unless he is excellent. Listen to her again in ep 21. Listen to him tell her he didn't want her to suffer with him. Watch him suffer and struggle within himself because what he really needs is Ying Tao but he doesn't feel worthy. When you consider the mental abuse his mother put him through, try to understand that it doesn't just go away. First he has to learn to love himself and believe he can be loved without being perfect.

I think they didn't get it. It takes understanding the characters to see how beautiful this drama unfolded. This must be the reason some are downrating and compaining. I guess they can't help it.

There are a few kisses but nothing hot so if you are expecting that it doesn't happen here for whatever reason. However, they have an amazing chemistry. I loved it

The director is going into the HK arc where Ying Tao will finally gets some answers. Apparently the director or producer wants us to wait till now to find out which is why we didn't see the details before or did not see JQX for a few episodes.

I loved 1- 15.Enjoyed and 17 and 17-19. Loved 20-24. Everything came together in the HK arc. I just watched ep 21 again and listened to every single word of the dialogue. It was intense and meaningful. ZLH's emotions as a character yearning for love but didn't think he was worth it at this point in his life was heartbreaking. Jin Mai as Ying Tao was perfect. Her character stayed in line with her younger version who knew what she wanted. Ying Tao is not afraid to face the truth and she confront her conflcts. Oh well, it is a matter of perception but there was so much significance just in the words and others in between.

What an amazing character from childhood to now. Jin Mai personified the essence of Ying Tao. And so did the child actor.

I had to laugh..."Don't go...Come here...Don't leave...When I wake up and open my eyes I want to see you, got it?..Don't leave." 😂 I felt poor JQX. He had no choice but to listen 🤭 It was the way she said in a quiet, tired voice that wasn't taking no for an answer. I felt bad she took all the pillow!

Ying Tao understands him. If you listen to what she says to him on the steps just before she packed her suitcase to leave him, she pretty much wrapped up his character in a nutshell. I was not one of the viewers who got mad at him in ep 15 because I sensed what was said here including his own reason that he didn't want her to suffer with him. The scene where she tutored the little boy who reminded her of him because he also felt his parents only noticed his older brother. I think that served a purpose of having Ying Tao think about how JQX needed her. And you can see how he was before he allowed himself to accept her in his life. He was struggling with himself. He needed to learn to love himself the way he is not feel he must be exceptional the way his mother made him feel. Ying Tao understands this. Therefore, she will never see it they way you do.

I would love to know too. I wanted to listen to them on my walk. Usually they are out by now.

I heard ZLH wants a third colloboration but I doubt it will happen. I am not even sure if he was serious saying it or just joking.

If you rewatch ep 21, watch Ying Toa carefully when she confronted JQX on the steps before packing her suitcase. Her speech was outstanding. She went deep into the depth of JQX's character. She knows him so well.

Yang Zi was so funny in Go Go Squid even if she gave me some second hand embrassment watching her character chase after the ml 😂
