I was going to say the same. Since you read the novel you would feel more connected. I started reading the novel about the time she started sleepwalking. I know she went through extreme stress losing her father, her mother, and living with her aunt being treated as if she wasn't worth anything. She built a wall around her heart and she broke Sang Yan's heart. I felt his pain more than what I know she suffered. There was one flashback that made me want to cry for her and that was when she called her mother begging her to take her back and her mother rejected her.

Well...I happen to know a certain guy named Zhang Ling He who is now wearing glasses...😉 I am on a rewatch of TFF. I stare at anything to do with Sang Yan. I didn't notice until my rewatch that he had a tear running down his cheek in the break up scene or was that rain.

At the start she had her emotions locked up. I felt as if she was far removed. It is not a matter of relating to her because I understand being a female and what she suffered. I don't even know how she managed to live with strangers after that. But it wasn't until she started to open up that I felt more connected to her story.

I loved him in You Are My Hero the min I saw his smile go to his eyes even with a mask on. It was when she told him she couldn't die because she hadn't even dated yet 🤣
But I have to say, he looks so much better in this one. I love this yearning sexy ML.
