I'm sure many people don't like DYX because there are many spoilers showing him hitting SH, divorcing her, making…
DYX is not my favorite because he was so bland at the start. But it is unfortunate that those scenes taken out of context have have been the source of his character being misunderstood especially by people who didn't watch the episodes.
I'm a sucker for the childhood crush/years between connection trope, so I'm excited to see how they'll reveal…
Thank you for sharing this! I have already forgotten some of the earlier episodes with so much going on now and I don't even think I noticed it. Nice attention to detail!
I am catching up now on Ep 8 and so far this has been one hilarious ride. That Du guy just seems like another…
You are on 8, so you much mean Kangning is being childlish. I think this must be the part where she doesn't face him when she broke off the engagement. I didn't feel too happy with her somewhere around there but I don't quite remember the details. After the eldest and now the 4th, I forgot some of the third sister's story and also watching other dramas at the same time.
Of all the stories so far, this one is the most entertainingI absolutely love this couple (si niang and huizhao).…
I loved that she didn't lie also. I find this story entertaining but I still love Chai An and Kangning more! I am curious what will happen with the youngest sister. She adds humor to this story.

I was not excusing his actions. My point was that her word choice in her review is misleading as it makes one think the ML is a wife abuser. It was taken out of context. Looking at the whole picture, he is not a wife abuser and his character is not shown to be a violent person. I also stated that it did not sit well with me that he would aim at the maid. But looking at the story in full context labeling him as a wife abuser as the comments imply, is not quite accurate. It is misleading. Facts can be misleading if taken out of context. Stating a fact does not validate an opinion if it leaves out details.

You have a single tunnel vision that can view future episodes with no regard for context. You disregard the fact that the husbands show a softness toward their wives and will do anything for their happiness. The concept of the son-in-law alliance is a juxtaposition to the reality that each of the husbands will betray the alliance at the drop of a hat if it means pleasing his wife. While the drama portrays societal viewpoints on women, the actions of the "perfect matches" show how a husband should cherish his wife. You need to clear your vision and look around to get the whole picture.
Oh now you say "emotional cheating." You didn't say that in your review. Had I not watched before reading your review, I would have thought he was going around jumping into other women's beds. Taking a concubine in those times is not considered cheating. And had you watched carefully, you would have seen the sisters set a trap to have the "concubine" play on his sympathies. Did you miss when his wife said he was too soft hearted? Did you miss the fact that it was his mother who wanted him to take a concubine? Did you miss the purpose of the sisters finding him this "concubine?" I think you missed a lot because your review has holes.

I don't love DYX. I didn't enjoy that cp at all. I am not looking for things I want to see. Your review took it out of context and made it seem as if he was an abusive husband. You wrote your review after 4 episodes about something that happened long after. Your arguments make no sense. In other words if he bumps into her and pushes her against a concrete wall and blood gushes from her head, you will declare he pushed her to the point that blood gushed from her head and no amount of "accident" will fix that for you.
It didn't sit well with me that he raised the whip at the maid. I am surprised he did that as it doesn't go with his quiet nature. I will agree with that. But he is not a wife beater that your word choice suggested. It was part of his act but I still did not like it. I don't even know if he really intended to hit the maid to play a part or things just got out of hand. What I do know is that his character is shown to be gentle and kind and the whip incident seems out of character for whatever reason. You can have your opinion but you take one thing out of context and brand him as abusive. In context of the incident, he is not.
And while we are on the topic of your "review" none of the husbands cheated on his wife. That was made clear in the drama by both Chai An and the second sister.
I'm just catching up on episodes and I'm in the middle of ep.17 now... sry, but what kind of messed up writing…
This drama likes to keep us guessing. It is important to pay close attention to dialogue and to allow it some time to get to where it is going. It is worth it. Keep watching
So I didn't care much for 3rd sister's romance and skipped 1st sister's story for the most part bc the Du guy…

The husband of the first sister did NOT beat her to the point there is blood. You need to watch the episodes instead of pulling scenes out of context.

Please read this response to your review. I am not sure if you recognize the tone. It is beautifully written in a manner that you might think was a casual response, but Jebran is quite clear. https://mydramalist.com/profile/WastingMyTime/review/423770#comment-20475618
