Never in my life did I think I would finish a 70 episodes drama ! no regrets whatsoever

I definitely agree on the political aspect - I was expecting high stakes and epic fighting scenes but was a bit disappointed in that regards. I would argue that this is definitely more of a romance/idol drama

I am also in your situation where I mostly watch saeguk dramas. Prior to POJ, I watched The Double which had incredible music and cinematography. The main thing lacking for me was the fighting choreography and excessive use of wires in the beginning, but other than that it’s a great series !

Very enjoyable, great cinematography and music. Honestly if it weren’t for the excessive use of slow motion and for that ending, it would have been a much higher rate ! Thankfully someone commented about the bonus episodes

you should definitely give the manhwa a try if you can! it was phenomenal

It feels like this series was written in a rush. This series has some pretty good actors, yet limited dialogue, predictable scenes (and poor styling choices for the FL). I agree with the feeling of lost potential… Yet I found myself binging the entire series, something about it just seemed to work somehow. A 7.7 for me.
