This drama made me happy and pissed at times but it was worth watching.
I did not like the violence against women parts but the adventure parts and the scenery seduced me.

Yes, I agree. Seeing how directors try to cope with the non kissing close. It downgrades the quality of the drama. This is a pity because there is a lot of scripts that does not require kisses out there.

I understand yours too because I was like you when I first watched that scene. I felt bad for FL and I was almost crying with her at that very moment.
But, after thinking about it, I understood that FL lacks trust in Shen Du and is immature. So now I have changed my understanding of FL.

I don't agree because I am pretty sure he said all those harsh things because LLZ's spy were listening to them at that particular moment.
The problem is that FL was not mature enough to know right away, at his change of heart, on that very moment, that something was off and immediatly piece things together because Shen Du is head of imperial guard and she already knew what this implies.

To me that scene shows that FL does stupid things and loses her temper when it is about her love life.
It would have been Princess Yong An in this situation, she would have played along will Shen Du on the spot. What apologies, no, it was a play.

If he wants to do romance. He should pick only dramas like "the double", in which there is only sexual tension and absolutly no kisses.
He is a great actor but he ruins the script when there is kissing scenes.

I don't think ML needed to ask for forgiveness because it is a spygame. This needed to be done . ML had to go under deep cover. FL was not mature enough to understand him at first glance. (She was sulking and childish the all drama, perstering ML with daily bickering)
However, I would have been happy if he had let her know by subtil hidden messages that he was faking it, like she did afterwards.

I saw his admiration toward her when he peeked at her in the prison cell and when he promised to avenge her after her planned death, when they met before the banquet.
