I'm back again in search of a link to the latest episode (ep.8) with subs and like last time if or when I find one, I'll post it here <3
I hope you all are having a lovely day ^^ <3 (although I'm sure we are going to be sad to see some of these talented contestants have to leave the show T^T)
should I watch this, is it really good??? can people share their general opinion on it? I have been eyeing it for a while now but I'm not sure about it.
I just want to say that I haven't cried in so long like I'm usually a crybaby when it comes to shows. But lately, I have been going through some things and just haven't been crying. WHEN I TELL YOU my face is drenched right now T^T I cried at the scene where Team almost drowned and Win saved him (ep. 6), it's a pretty cliche thing, I even predicted that Win would save him, but seeing Win break down and Team being apologetic broke me, I love both characters so much and that hug and those tears, honestly my tears flowed without me knowing it >< I- ugh their acting is too good, such a good scene, and I just....I just felt like sharing that, I'm going to continue watching now <3
well... I have to admit that I started watching CWPFN because I just loved the idea of Yoo Jung and Gyun Sang…
Wow I'm just coming back from a 4 year long hold on this drama and I'm questioning why I stopped for so long, I can't remember and I'm rewatching ep. 14 now 😅
I was thinking from the height of the kiss scene to the end of ep. 14 something must of happened, but now reading your comment I'm sure of it 😅
A different perspective on the no-contact 1-year gap: (I'm not defending it as good writing, it honestly seems like the writers simply wanted a way for Yanase to get jealous towards the end of the series, however, I did not get mad about it.)
1. They did not contact each other much outside of work in the first place
As many have stated, it is the 21st century so they COULD text each other, email, and even facetime, but the only texting they've done on screen was in the most recent episode. Most of their contact is through work engagements. It's not crazy to think that these two then would find it kinda awkward texting each other long distance after JUST confirming their love for each other.
2. Their personalities
My goodness. These two are so indirect and awkward with each other yet are able to love each other and understand each other deeply. Yanase is a very considerate person sometimes to a fault as he will bury his own feelings. He can be very self-critical which contrasts with his outgoing and passionate appearance. Kaneda is timid and hardworking. He hates causing problems or hindering others and get's extremely apologetic over simple mistakes, especially in relation to Yanase. I can see them both texting and deleting messages until they physically see each other again.
3. They just confirmed their love, but that doesn't mean that they are secure about
The 7th episode may seem all over the place to some, esp. if you waited a whole week for it (I did not, I marathoned from ep. 2 to 7) but from my perspective episode 6, while ending nicely, left so much on the table. An uncertain gap of time apart, new working situations, etc. Usually, gaps like this happen when the couple established themselves more. In my opinion, I think they could've accomplished this better with more conflict to move the story forward, obstacles that the two could face together, and moments when they admire each other more, heck it would've even been cool to see Yanase's reaction to Kaneda helping Iguchi face his senpai. More subtle hints and deep interactions would make their separation have a better impact and an impact that most viewers might have wanted. But, with the foundation they had of Kaneda and Yanase just settling on the fact that they love each other, I think being awkward after a year is fine. (Note: there were deep scenes but their mutual understanding of loving each other didn't happen until the last scene on ep. 6) It's like they kinda reset things and obviously, both of them are unsure if things have changed and will need to confirm their feelings yet again. Kaneda hiding the coffee milk offering lol alright, hiding the calendar with all their special moments can feel awkward to reveal even if they were full-on dating before the 1 year apart... leaving him at his house I- that was too much and even more confusing to Yanase, but for the writing goal of jealous Yanase I get it... The two of them will eventually reconcile if the little flashback intro in ep. 1 is any evidence and I'm always here for a happy ending.
All in all, better writing, I agree, this show could've used (we all could've lived w/o the separation troupe), but I found the show to be pretty cute. The message of following your passions and not allowing people to self-loathe or run away from themselves is nice. This drama is not one for a full-on well-developed romance, but it still offers some things to think about, some cute moments, and was fun to binge on a Saturday afternoon.
Just a different perspective. I hope that everyone won't just take the weird writing away from this drama and that everyone finds something they enjoyed. My favorite scene was when Kaneda told Yanase "I won't let anyone bad mouth you, even if that person is you, Mr. Yanase". Honestly, as Yanase was saying he was garbage and etc. I thought of how hard we can be on ourselves, I've had moments like Yanase, and what Kaneda said really put that in perspective, when we say those things we are bad-mouthing ourselves, something the people closest to us would hate to see. I even got angry along with Kaneda there. We are all truly wonderful in our own ways despite our faults.
Anyway, this will go in a spoiler tab because of the spoilers and because I just wrote a whole essay. If you made it this far wow lol xD Have a nice day!!! ^^
Before anything, be aware that romance isn't the main focus of the story. It's more political. As someone mentioned,…
Okay, thank you for telling me! I dive a little bit into more political dramas every now and then and I'm always so engrossed in the story. You're the second person to bring up the movie part, but satirical humor? Oooo I'm excited to see. Also I've listened to some of the OST already, already in love T^T thank again for this! ^^
someone reply to this if there ever is <3
