Idk guys I just really love how they are learning to communicate more in this episode, being afraid of expressing yourself is a certified relationship killer, so even though this episode may seem ridiculous to some or show a tone/ character shift to others, I appreciated the scenes where Soga was honest to Sakae, I found those moments super sweet <3
Overall I enjoy coming back to this show, it may not be perfect but it’s memorable, it’s definitely a work of fiction but I think I smile at least once every episode.

I honestly love this series, the emotional weight of it is intense and beautiful the acting is 10/10, the writing is 10/10 this is my first series with Jimmy and Sea and they are blowing me away I'm looking forward to episode 4 ><

well I just finished this, minutes ago, and I'll just say that there were just so many missed opportunities here
I won't say it was all out awful, it was pretty entertaining esp. in the beginning, but I honestly wish there were more twists with PAY OFF moments, really at some point you just feel like a bunch of info is just coming in, like a timeline of events, or it seems to have episodic splits within an episode, like light hearted to serious scenes way to quickly, it'll give ya whiplash 😵💫
Ryu Si Oh needed some fleshing out, he is such a complex character and I don't think just painting him as the bad guy or a simple villian works for him, it's clear most of the viewers could see that, but it's dissapointing that we only really get a slight acknowledgement of his complexity through any other character, even those closest to him, near the end of the drama...(I honestly was really dissapointed in that, not asking everyone to completely sympathize with him, but geeeesh, he is a human at the end of the day...and it's no mystery that he was a result of his very traumatic upbringing) his end was...Tsar Bomba 🥲💔 even if they really smoothed out his motivations it'd be a better watch, redemption too would be good...wasted talent honestly, loved seeing the acting
Namsoon is cuute, honestly would've liked her character fleshed out more too~ 🤧 I like her, but I wanted the chance to connect with her more, I knew she was driven to solve the case and she knew her powers were to be used for good but...🤔
writing this I'm realizing that characterization was really muddied by plot here and plot went EVERYWHERE (love triangles, soap opera, crime drama, family comedy, melo, I-), similar to how I mentioned the timeline of events, I remember what happened, but when things were coming to the climax, I didn't feel deeply for the characters and I wondered why, when Namsoon was..(SPOILER: drugged) I was like that's bad... 😐 I hope she'll be okay, I'm sure they'll figure out a way out of this somehow...you guys don't understand I'm a CRYER, I cry at scenes like that usually but there I was like 😐
I remember in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon when BongSoon got kidnapped I was so anxious and balling my eyes out, yeah I knew in the back of my mind that she would probably get out somehow but still I felt high stakes and was gluuuued to the screen plus the relationship had been developed so well that I felt everything, here in a moment similar I just felt like things were happening again, plot was moving
and with the drug case, though captivating at first, it kinda felt like allllriiiight, drugs drugs drugs, so in so is involved that we never met before, like that money laundering lady...it seemed like they were trying to tackle a lot of plot without the writing to cohesively bring it together
as a family comedy, I loved the chaos of it all at points lol 😆 as a crime drama ehhh I would've wanted some more high stakes, pay off moments, and have a detailed understanding of the motivations of people within the crime network, a good example of a crime, mafia drama is MY NAME, I feeeelt like I was in thereeee or if you want a dramedy, I think Vincenzo did great..this definitely wasn't a good one in that realm...sorry Romance was cuuute, you could see Heesik smiling all shy hehe ☺️✨️

watching Si Oh fall was painful, smh yall could've wrote in at least one friend or if you're gonna through the whole dad thing in, write him visiting that store from time to time (before the end of the drama) talking with the owner, banter, like he's a regular and OMG that's his biological father 🥺 wow Si Oh, helped and supported him, bc the development wasn't there, I was like oh really? but I wasn't blown away by the reveal
also message to Namsoon's mom, ummm when you know some guy's on an evil killing rampage targetting people you love, don't leave your defenseless ex husband, son, and your daughter's adoptive mom unattended, like pls stop leaving them alone like that, also Si Oh as far as villians are concerned yo- everyone was lying to your face, you asked someone once about a suspicion and then dropped it??? no way 😅 you gotta double check, sometimes triple check and keep things under lock and key...you putting deceiving you on EASY MODE *but I guess this might be too late to say...*

I love this series somehow~ xD I might be laughing and smiling more at my own thoughts and personal commentary than the actual plot idk~ ^^ This is my first full drama with Joong and Dunk, Joong had me at hello~ Dunk is nice <3 and Aou and Boom's acting is great <3
The fluffy sweet moments melt me and the conflicts have me like I- huhhhh?! but then I just laugh, especially when running into a literal cringe scene (Ep. 9 I'm talking to you) x3 or having the conflict resolved so quickly
I've had my fair share of bad series where nothing can save it, usually, I cannot finish or I take a break and just finish it just to finish it. This is not that bad in my opinion, I don't know if I could've marathoned it though and I think if I ever rewatch, I'd skip to my favorite scenes lol
Overall when things make no sense I'm just enjoying the ride I also appreciate some of the dialogue, the flower mythology, the subtle realizations and advice, I'd say if you are curious give this series a shot, but it's not everyone's cup of tea (as the comments here can show you), If you want more depth and a better flushed-out plot there are plenty of other series to consider, this, at least for me, is just a fluffy crazy little ride <3
