I'm happy Sunghoon is getting recognition again. I first saw him year 2011 in his debut drama New Tales of Gisaeng. His acting wasn't the best but you have to admit he's one of the best looking K-actors. Sometimes I feel bad he never really made it big, like GongYoo or Dongwook big. He picked several bad projects through the years. He seemed like a very humble and chill guy, but I guess acting isn't really a passion for him.

That's also the first thing I noticed, the suit is way too loose for him. And he already did so many other CEO roles where he was dressed perfectly, so it's not like there is no reference. I guess it's not an issue of budget but rather the decision taken by the stylist. It may look Boomer style but there is an upcoming trend like this, it's just not mainstream yet. I still wish they stayed with the classic CEO style though.
been a year, still haven't found anything that gave me the same feels as this one. too many anticipated dramas dropped this past year but they still fell short.
I'm not rating this drama yet with 8eps, but to be honest, the overall premise is kinda mediocre and done ten times over. It's formulaic : cold ML, bubbly FL, liberated second FL, bratty relatives, fancy outfits, long winding business dialogues etc. I wonder how it got enough funding to cast famous lead actors, and even throw Miles in as support. Nonetheless, the script is so far not cringey ( which is always my main issue with 80% of modern Cdramas). I won't say I'm hooked, but it's easy to watch and doesn't frustrate you atleast.
I do feel it was a waste of Dylan and BaiLu pairing though. I kinda wished they worked on a different story. One with more intensity and angst, where we get to their acting range.

Yes, he always had one monolid and one double eyelid. The monolid is just more noticeable now as he age. He also said before that it get worse when he suffers insomnia. There are nonsurgical ways to fix that, but I guess he really is just easygoing in real life and do not fuss much about his looks.

done with the latest ep and I'M LIKING IT! it's giving old Kdrama feels with angst and comedy (like Fated to Love you). I think this wasn't in the radar of many viewers because apart from SungHoon, the casts are a bit unfamiliar, and Sunghoon is also not known for picking quality roles. But this one is so far good.
Of course, there are parts where you just have to not overthink haha, like the conveniently passing by students on her room window (first time I've seen a rich fam in Kdrama live in a house like this), not changing clothes for 2 days, her only eating convenience store food, she seemed abused but looks like she has money too. And, why did they adopt her to begin with?
I'll go read the manhwa now as I'm curious, my theory is that the ML is the other person in the car crash and they both died and hit reset. It seems he also has a crush on her all along.

okay, I know he's trying to change the past so the future will be altered too. But personally, I'm not sure if that is a really good ending, like if his Dad didn't lose his hearing, a lot of their future would change too. Even though it's fantasy, that would also be weird for EunGyeol if he keeps his memory of the events, like the father in the 'new future' is not exactly the father he grew up with. Sometimes the past is not good, but it makes up who we are.
I would prefer if the future is fixed as is, like for example his Mom and Dad did experience him being in past, but with altered memories of who he is (his face and name is different in their memories). I know some of the events do not tally with what his Dad told him, but who knows, maybe he was lying about some details.
I'm really curious how the writer will wrap this up. Good thing it is not more focus on the sci-fi element but more on the emotional side. Therefore, I can accept illogical endings and will not overthink it, but atleast make it emotionally satisfying haha
btw, what's the story behind the real Se Kyeong? So she was adopted and her real dad is the music shop owner and her real mom is an actress? I don't understand very well how she ended up in her adoptive parents home after their real daughter died.
So I'm only in ep6 but I don't get Eun Yu's plan. How does her finding her Mom's first love and pretending to be her Mom change the future? Her Mom is already in the US and is most likely will not affected by the events in Korea. Can somebody explain please?
