did the plot change? I don't know if I just imagined it or something, but I remember the plot involves something like ML being the uncle of FL's ex boyfriend. haha too many dramas and novel, I must be mixing plots
idk why everyone’s turning orbit into a villain but I thought he 100% made this show really enjoyable for me.…
I think it's because some viewers (myself included) felt we got robbed of a more mental gameplay as it became a social play because of the alliances. I know building alliances is also part of the game, but in this case the division was not so even, not to mention it was the bigger group who calls themselves 'underdogs'. It would have been interesting if within the bigger alliance they also start to strategise for themselves in the background, but no, everyone was happy to simply follow Orbit down to the end. I just finished the show and I must say I don't think Orbit is bad at this point, although I wonder whether there is a hidden scheme behind it all. Either he's truly a pure hearted person or he kept his ulterior motive a secret up until the end. I think it's also because some viewers find him hypocritical, he says he wants to keep as many people alive and yet he had no qualms targeting those outside his alliance, even when the game doesn't really require any forced elimination. I guess I would have liked him more if he own up to having a secret scheme and say it's part of the game plan and he's playing them all (like the Survivor villains haha). But then again, he could maybe be really genuine. I guess we'll never know.
I like how chill Seokjin is yet every now on then he takes a jab on the 'Communist Alliance' haha You can tell he's sometimes pissed as he really want to play the game with capable players, yet they always end up with lame and unexciting gameplay as the others are merely following Orbit. Even with his alliance with SeeWon you can tell they are not co-dependent, and that's how it should be.
I'm on episode 6, I know they are all playing a game but I just suddenly thought on how this show mirrors real life. You can be smart and be upright, but it's extremely difficult to defeat a herd. Specially one the is led by another cunning individual under the pretext of righteousness and helping the weak. It's scary also how they viewed themselves as the 'underdogs' and justify the villain-ization of anyone outside their group.
reading all this spoilers, seems like my instinct that something is off with Orbit is correct. The guy is trying too hard to be liked and show a facade of being too kind hearted. I can tell the 'communism' strategies he has are part of a scheme
ep 4 in, and I knew SeeWonxSeokjin×Dongjae×Guillame are my team. They are my kind of people, calm, collected and plays the game how it should be played. No goody-two-shoes aura and also not too overconfident. They are no sheeps and are not afraid to look like villains.
yes. it's super annoying specially on tiktok everytime they try to bully people who say they like the 2nd couple. It's giving this drama a bad aftertaste
I'm currently on ep10 and I'm watching it with 1.5x speed as the dialogues are getting longer and longer and drawn out. Nonetheless, I still find it intriguing enough to continue watching. I see a lot of complains across platforms regarding the screentime of the couples and the characterizations. Admittedly, I started watching this for Esther and LingHe but at the moment I gotta say the 2nd couple is indeed looking more interesting. Is it a crime to have preference? Why do some of the main couple's fans 'attack' viewers who say they find the 2nd couple more fun to watch? Why do they have to make up excuses why the main couple is treated 'unfairly' and hence the only reason the 2nd couple is popular. To be honest, all the complaining and mentioning of behind the scenes grievances is a bit annoying and taking the enjoyment and focus out of the story.
Saying you find the 2nd couple more interesting is not an attack to the main couple, it's just simply what it is and is how the script was received. Why are some nitpicking and counting screentimes and not just watch and judge the drama as it is.
I'm on ep7 and I know I have to catch up soon haha just want to say it feels like ShangJue and Shangguan are the main characters, and I'm not complaing! haha their chemistry and the intensity on how their relationship builds up is so interesting. and ShangJue has all the characteristics of an anti-hero ML. I love that he's such a mystery, he's such a grey character. also he's not a simp but there are also crumbs of his softness toward Shangguan.
and completely fair, up to this point(given all the facts of what we know about him compared to ZiYu) I still think he deserves to be the Sword Wielder. Can't blame them towards their resentment on ZiYu becoming the leader.
i think ZiYu and HuanYu are brothers with different moms. Shangjue and YuanZhi I think are brothers. The first…
But if succession after the immediate next in line is based on merit, then even if ShangJue was away, the next eligible should be YuanZhi(the poison master). Since it has been established that ZiYu merit-wise is the last among them.

I'm on ep3 and based on the explanation I read it was expected that ShangJue was next in line after HuanYu, and ZiYu only got the throne because ShangJue was away. If they are only cousins, how come ShangJue was next in line and not really ZiYu?
wait, are ShangJue, YuanZhi, HuanYu and ZiYu(ML) brothers? why did I get the impression that only HuanYu and ZiYu were brothers and the other two were their cousins?
or are they like all children of Sword Wielder but with different mothers?
I'm trying to marinate this for a while but the tiktok edits is making it difficult. Gotta say the color grading reminds me of LLTG. and Zhang LingHe....my god Zhang Ling He😩 the plot could be zero but that face in that attire will keep you watching. He's so attractive for what🙈
some things I do not understand : why was Momi's mother so cold to her even before all the murders? also, she could have gotten plastic surgery early on if the looks matter so much for her and, couldn't the police have gone to her surgeon to ask how she looks like? it seem she was able to evade the police for atleast a year to have her baby
i'm on the last epsiode but i gotta say that kim kyung ja is so annoying. she is the real villain here. she's…
it's always the extremely religious and cultist people who are the craziest. They no longer see logic and reasoning once they get to the point where they convinced themselves that they received a 'divine calling'
Btw, this show deserves higher ratings. It won't leave you feeling good and there's a lot of disturbing scenes in it, but it's definitely worth the time watching. I binged this and was never bored. It felt like you won't root for any characters because they're all twisted in their own ways, but the series of 'unfortunate events' were really interesting to keep you watching. Nevertheless, by the end of it, I found myself bawling in tears and my heart ached for the FL.
and PS. NANA is so gorgeous! true to saying, the only way to beat the crazy is be crazier.lol
random note : I started this because I saw a presscon clip with the post-surgery Mimo holding pre-surgery Mimo's hand to ease her nervousness. All these time I thought that was Kwon NaRa! HAHAHA I knew Nana is in this series but I kept on expecting NaRa to appear. But it good that I did not read any spoilers or even synopsis, that was a wild ride!
After watching a couple more episodes I do believe the best way to enjoy it is to set your mind from the start to NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY. I think it is the marketing's fault that they made it seem this is a reality show, it set misled expectations. The ridiculousness and awkwardness is hard to dismiss unless you really think of it as a comedic show.
If I was part of the planning team, this would have been a good opportunity to do it like 'ONE CUT OF THE DEAD' (japanese film). Has anyone else seen that? It's quite an experience haha
They should have marketed this as a serious Zombie drama (ala SweetHome& AOUAD), then have the viewers wondering why the first couple of episodes it seems like a badly written script, bad acting and awkward actors. And then (THE TWIST!) reveal later on the real set up of production and then redo the sequence with the behind the scenes bit. Because I swear the funniest bits of Zombieverse is when they break character and laugh at themselves and the ridiculousness of the scenarios. 😂
I completely agree, it’s a variety show, I don’t know what people want from it. If they were truly trying…
Exactly, and these actions they do are based on their assigned 'roles', roles that may or may not be influenced by their real life personalities. For sure they are already assigned reliable ones, the weak ones, the fool, the betrayer etc. It's only with these variations that creates interesting scenarios for a show. Probably some people are expecting it to be like the American Survivor haha And the biggest hint is, it is not even tagged as a 'reality show' but it is a variety show. It's meant to entertain and not to be a competitive/thrilling show.
