Something just occurred to me today. So I was browsing tiktok and saw these edits of Thranduil (Legolas' dad from Lord of the Rings), and I just realised he's giving DFQC vibes. The long hair, the cold condescending attitude, even the costumes and the spiky hairpieces, though they are not exactly the same but they've got the same aura! I'm attracted to both, so obviously I must have a type hahaha
So Immortal Samsara has an epilogue, and Love Between Fairy and Devil will now also release 2 epilogues. Any news we might get something from LLTG too?
I'm feeling that too. I already got my short yet happy ending so more sweet scenes would only be icing on the…
Yes, this is also what I think. Unless they planned this in advanced and already filmed together with the mainstory, I don't think they will open production again given the cost. But I'm still hoping they give us a pleasant surprise.
What do you think the special episodes will be? I’ll take whatever, but I don’t want to get my hopes up for…
Based on experience from other shows, this 'epilogue' sometimes only end up being 3mins extra/special clip. I'm crossing my fingers we get something more substantial here though. But same as you, I will take whatever.haha
I'm on episode 6 and struggling to continue this as it is making my blood boil because Kla is f-ing stupid. Like I get it, he wanted to save the fake friend, but he made dumb moves one after another. If he could just stop screaming and use his brain for a second. And the worst of all, he had the audacity to blame Khim. The writers could have executed this 'separation/misunderstadning' differently, it's so annoying how they did it.
So Esther Yu uses her real voice and Dylan Wang is apparently dubbed by Wang Bao Shun. Does anyone know if he…
I saw an article that he is mostly dubbed (probably more so on historical/costume dramas) because he has a 'weak' voice, it doesn't match the character. I think the voice actor did a great job though.
It’s him. His arms are quite long and fit and his long hair covers up most of the back. I don’t think he’s…
Yes, the back view with the muscled arms is imposing, the front view not so much, that's probably why they skipped a frontal shot. Glad to hear Dylan is working on himself.
It's a pretty standard thing before any guys do shirtless scenes, they work out and also sometimes diet, don't…
It's also not uncommon in the Chinese industry that some actors skip this effort. Some use body suits, pads and body doubles. Happy to hear Dylan is dedicated and putting some work.
I have another important random question haha On *that scene*, the thunder punishment scene, was that really Dylan's back or is it a body double? I know he's fit but he's still on the slim side. That back and arm scene is so hot hahaha But it looks more muscular than Dylan
I'll keep reposting this every now and then until all these comments about 'open ending, it is a dream/hallucination/it's not real' comments go away (you guys are scaring off new viewers lol). I'm telling you THE ENDING IS REAL. This is a Xianxia genre, you should not equate physical death with absolute death. Their physical manifestations are just a vessel for their primordial spirit/soul. Some spirits are not born from parents, they could be in a form whatever being (plants, animals, dragons etc) and only thru acquiring 'energy' or 'cultivating' are they able to manifest into physical human form. In the case of DFQC and Chidi woman, they are even more special as their primordial spirit is way stronger than any beings in the 3 realm. Remember how in episode 1 they said DFQC is basically indestructible, therefore the best they could do is scatter and trap his spirit in the Haotian tower. Technically, in these 30,000 years he was also dead if we only talk about physical form. In Xianxia world , you can be *dead* but not *dead dead*. As long as even a wisp of their primordial spirit remains, they can come back to physical form after acquiring enough cultivation. This is basically the same concept DFQC did on XLH primordial spirit inside the seed, nurtured her until she gains form.
SPOILER!!! In the last episode, you'll notice XLH stopped crying and calmed down when she saw the orchid bone , because she knows there is hope of him coming back, as that orchid bone still has a trace of his spirit. That's why she's also not looking depressed in the 500 years, she's helping DFQC cultivate back to physical form. This is also the reason why the ending seems very anti-climactic, no drama, no effects, XLH wasn't even surprised or shocked, it's because she knew he will be back and it was only a matter of time. Now that I rethink it, that "I'm back' line is not as lame. It just shows how much faith they have that they will naturally get back together again.
