The downfall of the Marquis is cause by his power hungry wife and his oldest greedy son. I don't really feel bad…
I knew the moment the wife was going to pivot. There was a scene she was by injured son's side and then her face made this expression like I'm going to turn evil now. It's a common foreshadowing effect. At that point, I knew she was going to become the trigger for someone's downfall.
I saw a scene of Duke sitting alone, deep in thought. His physique and posture immediately struck me—he has the physical presence and aura of his character. Of course, the outfit and cinematography enhance the effect, but I believe he naturally carries the persona of the character. Judging by his extensive list of past dramas, this appears to be his first historical drama, and I can see why they chose him. He exudes the same commanding presence I felt when he portrayed Sen Jian in ALP.
so this drama has two directors? i see zheng xiaolong as director but there's another one... i read somewhere…
I see multiple directors listed all the time but there is only one main director, and that would be zheng xiaolong. Ever since I found out it's him, I pay closer attention and yeah lots of details that are specially done.
ah i get so tired of seeing trolls on mdl its so annoying. if you don’t like the main characters then stop watching…
If you're annoyed, you haven't seen much. You can almost predict what they will gang up on. The fl character was an easy target for them. If positive comments stop, they will strike so their comments are on top. If no comments for a year, then someone comes along and start posting positive comment, they show up again. How did they even know someone is posting good comments after a year of no comments. They just have to stomp on it. I've become numb to it.
Somehow this exchange is intriguing to me: XAT: All these stars are her teardrops. She has been waiting for someone for her entire life to bring her home (is this foreshadowing?) ZH: Her families at home must miss her a lot. XAT suddenly changes her tone and says: I don't know, maybe her teardrops dry up, she won't miss home anymore (what is home to XAT?) ZH decides to point out a puppy in the stars, maybe to make her feel better? XAT: The puppy has a heart looks like a sifter (it's interesting she saw that but he didn't, or did he?) ZH: That's because the puppy is crying too. It got separated from its family (they both have something in common)
There have been a few waves of bots downvoting the drama. And Douban is famouslyquite hostile towards Xiao Zhan.…
Ratings are interesting but don't really matter because it's subjective, biased, and like you said bots and passersby. It's crazy how some dramas 1/3 of the ratings are 1's. However, I think this drama will get a really high score.
