ye li’s mental health is definitely real. i honestly love costume dramas exploring mental health beyond going…
he told me it was so real, like he could touch her. it was the way he expressed it to me, i never forgot how he told me. and this guy is a doctor himself. it's scary isn't it how people can actually hallucinate to that point that it's real to them

hallucination is real. I once met a man who lost his wife in a fire, and he told me later he actually could see her coming towards him.

Also, wtf is with historical cdramas showing even mildly sick people vomiting blood like they have a terminal…
the blood vomit is based on something real, so it's done to convey that. Ancient Chinese medicine was very advanced. They understood body really well. It's not that it's overdone, its's intentional to make a point about how the body reacts, like in Unveil:Jadewind, I think the ML even cough blood from being overly stressed. I looked it up once before. I don't' remember now.

I just feel all this plot device are a bit forced and illogical, even making the characters behave OOC. Her mother…
She treated him incredibly well, so when he found out it wasn’t genuine, he reacted strongly.

I always thought in those days, men don't have to divorce, just ignore the first wive and take a second and third one.

Person Xu Kai
21/6/2026 : #XuKai weibo update " Grandma and Xiao Ming " https://weibo.com/2931958713/5312379194708230https://x.com/i/status/2068721669074731100
BCE looks to be her last supporting role. She's 88. Glad Xu Kai got to work with her because he has such a great connection with veterans. Their chemistry was amazing because they both had the same grace, elegance and charm that fit the roles. and came across like real life relatives. Their scenes were really good. Grandma really loved YZM. Grandma Mai understood YZM so well, even when she didn't trust him, she knew his heart (unlike the father in Eight Hundred). Unfortunately, she died, but YZM finally realized what she was trying to teach him.

I found in the comments Xu Kai and Grandma exchanges:

What's the truth, hard-core-fans are paid to elevate the scores? Don't forget to con a bit more people to raise…
another China hater " living UNDER AN OPRESSIVE AND - YOU HAVE NO WORD - SYSTEM, " I'm okay they hate the system, but don't hate the Chinese people
there was another user here earlier who was ranting about how Chinese people all need glasses and are stupid with no understanding of Chinese culture. Honestly, if they hate China and Chinese people why do they bother to watch Chinese dramas?

It's not about chemistry at all. The issue is that the romance isn't the kind that a lot of people were expecting…
this couple was not truly married at the beginning, only a formality a strategic alliance, that's why it took them a while to get use to each other. he even told her she can leave a few times.

If you don't understand psychology or trauma you will have hard time understanding the drama.
My understanding is that she has DID which is trauma caused at very young age.

Same. Lin Mu Ran is wasted in this role...very much disappointed 😪 I was so looking forward to watch him in…
he has way too much talent and will surface again, I'm convinced of it based on his POJ performance, he will break though, not this role though

What's the heat index? Reached 30k yet? Or still stuck at 28k?
Reaching 28k is considered a very popular drama and not too many reach 28k. Even less can reach 30k. So far this year only one reached 30k and another reached 31k, that's it, just two dramas.

If I hadn't seen Lin Mu Ran in POJ, I wouldn't have known what a good actor he is. He can play such different characters. In this role, I don't' know why but Dylan Wang comes to mind when I see his character.

MXY and Ye Li are so funny jabbing each other about their ex-fiancee's. 😂 but tell me why Su Zuidie was so…
I think it is what they call deadpan, I love it. Whoever that actress is, she pulled it off really good because she was able to bring out humor and looked dead serious at the same time. It fits deadpan humor built on flat delivery (minimal expression, as if nothing unusual is happening), a serious tone, and strong contrast (serious‑vs‑absurd or straight‑vs‑silly), with contextual support from the music, pacing, camera framing, and writing that all reinforce the vibe.

Ep24 has some cool scenes. I don't know who that actress is, but she gave vibes. When they were sitting there having frozen sweets and she gave the speech with this music in the background, making everyone nervous, it was great deadpan entertainment.
I also enjoy that scene how she stabbed the guy with a short blade, his blood came gushing out of his mouth, the glass in his hands fell and shattered, she pushed his face and the camera showed his back falling to the ground, and she walked away ruthless and cold. These scenes have some punch to it. Sometimes when scenes are so well done, you don't' even need to know what drama you're watching, it just catches your attention. Like I've seen these kinds of scenes so many times, somehow this one really caught my attention. It must be piercing cold she was.

At least it shows the data is not fixed. I never trust those that reach and surpass heat index in just a few days.
