I want to praise him every time and he always cares about other actors very nicely. However, I feel sorry for his original back injury (on set of Court Lady). You are more beautiful than Xingguang.

Action scenes can carry risks. You can see bts here the amount of dedication and effort that goes into making the scene. Notice that's a real metal object he has to back into it but it's been wrapped to avoid injury during rehearsals. They seem to use real objects, not props (well, except the knife, I doubt they use a real knife! but the stick is real-looking and can injure). I wonder in the actual scene do they remove the wrapping, or they can somehow edit it out? Notice the fast action of the fighting. It's all real movements, no stunt man. XK's figure is impressive and so are his movements.

I think those are called period dramas or historical dramas in ancient historical settings like the ancient Chinese dynasties. There are Republican Era dramas too after the fall of dynasties. Also, Wuxia can contain some fantasy elements too.
Douban is currently 6.7 with 21.4% 5-stars, relatively speaking, it is very good score, and any percentage of 5-stars over 15% means it has high entertainment value, and over 20% 5-stars is exceptional and meaningful. Even more popular dramas will only get 15% 5-stars. It opened with Douban of 6.9 and 25.3% 5-stars, then like a week or so later, the 2-stars started to flood the rating and brought it down.
What's really strange is why are the Douban user count only 25,493 when there are 2B views.
However, I'm reminded of FIYS has 3.3 Douban which makes me wary of all ratings.
Since some people come here to knock Xu Kai beyond just being critical or having to do with ABAY, then I can say he is truly awesome. He has the whole package. He does his own martial arts and stunts.

Also, JX has a drive to learn. She was not offended at all by HT's notes on her design but learned from it. She realized how much she can learn from HT. She doesn't realize that HT is invested in Hanhai doing 3D Printing too. When she saw his invite that he was invited to some conference that only important people in the industry attends, she asked to be invited. She just has this voracious appetite to learn. That's what helps her to get over Yichen and HT after those two breakups she has the ability to refocus herself on technology. After her breakup with Yichen, she threw herself into her work and after breakup with HT, she went to Germany for more training. This is her personality. She may be emotional, but she is resilient. This is a strong character.

Until I watched it second time, I didn't realize how Ji Xing poured over Han Ting's notes scribbled all over her business proposal she and SZZ passed out to potential investors. Noticed how she grabbed it on her way out, then threw it in the garbage can, only to retrieve it, and spent all night pouring over his notes. Then she revamped her product and was able to get it out super-fast. Even Han Yuan said she was impressed how fast she got her product out.
I think XYX cares too much for his daughter that is why he can't commit to marriage. His little girl probably can't handle sharing him with a new wife.
In Ep 12, LiLi shows that she has no problem with using HT's name to purchase the 3D printer ("HT is interesting. He invested in you and now he's getting emotional"), while JX is feeling really awful about misleading others about her relationship to HT. JX started it but it was LiLi who took it further implying there is more to JX and HT's relationship. But JX also went along with it. LiLi is a very smooth talker and will use questionable tactics which is why she went into Sales instead of Engineering, and also, she felt she can get farther ahead. In the novel, she also majored in Engineering if I recall right.
Also, I find HT's attitude about his incident very meaningful in this story. It is why he never liked ZD or others but liked JX. He was really bothered to see this side of JX to call up XYX so late at night to talk to him at Wonton shop. HT: "She took advantage of me. Who wants this kind of false heartiness?" XYX told HT people can change. HT says quite emphatically: "I haven't changed! And I will not change." XYX wonders if HT is worried about JX. HT: "Once the rumors start, it'll flood all her efforts." XYX: "Once you have someone or something to care about, you'll lose your cool."
HT knows JX personality, that she cannot handle vicious rumors. However, him pursuing JX is different than JX being maligned in false rumors. Actually, HT allowed things between him and JX to occur organically just like in the novel, although he did find opportunities to see her for business reasons. He went to the fishing village to try to recruit her to work for Dr. Jiang on Dr. Cloud project, his main project, and Dr. Jiang was impressed with her and needed help, In fact, after she rejected HT, later HT had to find another candidate to help Dr. Jiang which validates his business reasons.
