In Ep 34, we find JX has gotten emotions out of her system and able to see the bigger picture. The drama took a while to show this, from ep 31 to 34 is a big gap to wait for it. It's not that she didn't understand before, but she needed some time to cool off. But I think she still has a hard time to trust HT in the area of love, the way she sees love.

Professor Meng was in SHPH. This drama has many actors from XK's past dramas.

imo, Ao Ru Peng has more of Dylan Wang 's expressions and movements (maybe not the mouth so much but the gaze) than Xu Kai, and he is cute and charming too. I first saw him in Wrong Carriage Right Groom, he was very charming in that role, otherwise I wouldn't be able to watch that.

This is my own interpretation. Even though HT mixed business with personal, at least in the drama, his intentions were to leave XingChen alone. He would have allowed Hanhai and XingChen to compete even though he has investment in both. He had great faith in JX. He allowed her to figure out her product offerings and market positioning to compete or not to compete with Hanhai.. He never interfered in her business except he wanted updates and offer advice. If she couldn't make it, then she would have to accept a merger down the road, but he was always going to allow her to run her own company and chart her own course and decide her own fate with XingChen. HT had a lot of faith in her as an innovator and someone who defy odds. But his cousin attacks forced his hands. He had no choice but to merge XingChen to save it. The heavy price he paid for it does not make sense on paper but that just means he valued her innovation and talent that much.

Love the scene of HT visting grand aunt because the acting/chemistry is really good. The humor is low-key and sweet, extremely nuanced for humor. XK has good chemistry in this scene with the grand aunt and uncle.

Can you imagine if HT as a father is so direct with his kids? It's okay when they are older, but will he know how to talk to little kids? He will scare his kids away.

If HT ever has kids, he will need to learn how to not be so direct all the time.

there was a scene LL and SZZ discuss the A funding with JX and said they prefer to go with Chang He (Tongke?) to dilute HT's shares otherwise he will have too much control. I don't know that JX realizes Chang He is a bad person, does she? So, her decision to go with Chang He was rational, except before she found out about Hanhai-XingChen merger she didn't want to 'betray' HT since Chang He company is a direct competitor of Dongyan. I just don't understand how she managed to sign agreement without board's approval (HT). In the novel, she had to trick him to get his initials and then she had to steal his stamp.

I heard she is really good in Ode to Joy. Also, she got nominated for prestigious Magnolia awards for LYF. She has good acting skills. Liking an actor or not is subjective to your personal taste.

The way I see her character, JX's first love is her work. HT lured her back to Hanhai-XingChen because she couldn't resist the opportunity to work on models that will change the future of the industry.
