I’m at episode 16. Fan Changyu has a dual‑layered personality: modest, humble, kind, and self‑reliant in daily life, but fiercely capable—almost superhuman—with explosive strength and instincts when threats arise.

Up to episode 16, Xie Zheng is the ultimate soft‑hearted "lived-in" husband: gentle, obedient, quietly devoted, sweetly attentive in daily life, and very protective, to the point that he can’t bear to leave her.

Censorship has been loose so far for Pursuit of Jade. Xie Zheng and Chang Yu’s scenes better be as hot as Qi…
They even showed a manual with different sex positions; they actually flashed one of the pages on screen.

Tian Xi Wei has outdone herself in this series and outdone lots of other idol female actors in other series too.…
Someone pointed out that top billing doesn’t always determine screen time. In a female‑centric story, the FL naturally appears more, while the ML’s impact depends on how he’s written. Up through episodes 8–10, the ML is still limited by his injuries, so most of his role revolves around the FL caring for him. He gets a few fight scenes, but he keeps aggravating the same wounds, which holds him back.

It's a fun drama. Sometimes, I forget I'm watching a historical. The romance feels like a modern romance drama. I wonder when they leave the village and when the does the ML get well.

Didn't the ML fall in love at the end of Ep. 1 the way he stared at her (well she was his savior)?

I didn’t think she was “childish” at all in her last drama. I was captivated by her the moment I saw her on screen in New Life Begins, and I knew right then she was talented. Later I learned she uses her own voice, and I feel she has a way of adjusting it to suit each character based on how she portrays them. I think the way she uses her voice is a big part of why her characters come across so well—so believable and so compelling.

I’m on episode 5 and liking it so far, but it does come across as a comedy a lot of the time

Why has this show been remove from iQIYI and WeTv for US audiences?!?
There was never any iQIYI connection to this drama.

Moonlit Reunion is a Linmon Pictures production, co-produced and broadcast in China on Tencent Video (premiered August 18, 2025).

Disney+ acquired exclusive streaming rights for the US (and some other select regions) but delayed the US launch by about a week for the exclusive rights deal. Moonlit Reunion first became available on Disney+ in the USA on August 26, 2025, with the initial batch of episodes (1-19) dropping that day. It wasn't all at once—the remaining episodes (up to the full 38) were released later, around September 7, 2025, after the China airing wrapped up. The slight delay and staggered rollout were planned. The extra time allowed them to finalize English subtitles, quality checks (complaints), platform setup, promo, and testing since this was their first big try at near-simul for a current C-drama.

Moonlit Reunion is Disney+'s first big push into getting exclusive or priority US rights for a current, airing Chinese drama. The big reason? Xu Kai's global popularity and overseas appeal played a huge role and made Disney+ trust this project enough to grab it early for exclusivity in places like the US. It was a bet on his star power drawing subscribers, rather than waiting for post-airing buzz.In the past, they usually waited until after full airing (like with some older titles) or for pre-air buzz. But with Moonlit Reunion, Disney+ grabbed it early in post-production (after the 2024 filming wrap but before everything was fully done. The drama's huge success (reaching 57.8 million users on Disney+ North America, translated into 20+ languages, top "OUTSTANDING" ratings) proved the strategy worked. It boosted their interest in more projects like Mo Li.

Due to Disney+'s US-exclusive rights, both WeTV and Viki are restricted or unavailable for this drama in the USA, but they carry it in various other countries where the deal allows.

I wanna ask something, he is my favourite and I want him to be more popular, but why his weibo followers is not…
Your “question” reads more like a criticism than genuine curiosity. You describe him as “stuck,” say he “hasn’t given any blockbuster drama recently,” and compare him to “other actors… growing very fast.” You also pre‑emptively dismiss anyone who disagrees by calling them “so‑called obsessed fans.” That isn’t really asking a question — it’s presenting a negative opinion while framing it as concern.
