Reading all the comments, I thought, OK maybe ML should tell her the truth to protect her from harming herself or others? What is the reason he cannot tell her the truth?
Lol can't wait for episode 27-28. Comment section is getting toxic and blaming FL. When all her actions rooted…
FL has no idea her husband doesn't need her help. She still thinks he's that lived in husband who needs her. She will fight to save not just him, but others too, that's her nature.
She had a knife so she probably threatened to kill him and they had not choice but to let her out. As she’s…
it's because the FL thinks she's invincible, that's how her character comes across to me, she not afraid of anything, remember how she just threw herself off the cliff, even with a smirk on her face. She's portrayed as this invincible, unstoppable character who can do anything and does. almost superhero qualities.
Neither knows each other's real identity almost two thirds into the drama, but ML has always had control over…
i think in ep 16 or so, ML told FL, his background is none of her business, not in those exact words but that was what I took away from it. I thought that was a bit callous of him to say that to her even though I understand why he said it.
i hate when the writers make women run emotionally rampant on the military base. the lack of self control and…
The FL character is not meant to be taken seriously. She is portrayed like a legendary, larger than life, invincible type of character. It's supposed to be charming, endearing, and fun character which is what hooked me to the drama. That said, the drama does a good job too of blending this with plenty of grounded emotional depth.
Guys it's okay to criticize a silly plot point. Not defending it doesn't mean you don't like the show. Sometimes…
The silly plot points are kind of the whole charm; that’s part of what keeps you watching. It’s got the same vibe as folklore or tall tales—like Paul Bunyan, where everything’s exaggerated until it stops feeling real and turns into myth.
I can understand that Zheng loves Changyu telling that she can provide for him by butchering pigs. This guy is…
She treats him like a child who can't'take care of himself properly because she has no idea who he really is. She's quite motherly. always see you as a child even when you are an adult living on your own.
I am kinda disappointed with Yan Zheng/Xie Jiuheng. Hiring an actor to punish him on behalf of Changyu was too…
Has years past by in the drama? I think she was 18/19 at the start of the drama, and then later episodes I thought I heard she's 22? but it doesn't feel like years went by, maybe a year went by? even though it's always snowing
Sigh! Why does every c-drama FL in an army camp have to pull a Mulan?🤦🏻♀️Plot has taken a frustrating…
You can’t really treat the drama as realistic; parts of it feel like a make‑believe animation world created for entertainment. The darker moments, however, have an intensity that are addictive.
what does the ranking mean? yesterday it was 28 and now it’s 18??
MDL really likes that combo right now: a super high score (9.2) plus tons of current excitement, even though it only has under 4k ratings. But rankings move all the time. If the score stays high while way more people rate it (tens of thousands of votes), it can hang near the top for a while. If the score slips even a bit (say down to 9.0), or the big momentum cools off, it'll probably slide to around #50–#100, like most other dramas that end up sitting at 9.0. However, if the popularity ranking goes from #959 (it's not done airing) to say #300, even if the rating dropped from 9.2 to 9.0, that would also elevate the ranking to say #30-#70. But if it can hold on to 9.2 and user ratings climb from 4k to say 25k, and the popularity climbs from #959 to say #300, it could hold on to top #10-#20. MDL compares everything against tens of thousands of shows from all countries, but new hot ones get a huge temporary lift from all the buzz. The score itself is still the main thing that decides the very top spots. Even a small drop makes a real difference because the system trusts a lower average less when picking who gets those highest ranks.
Usually I dont like FL's in anything and very rarely happens. I find them most of the time poorly written or overexagerated.…
well, the drama also has make-believe or fairytale elements in a historical setting, making her small frame stronger than men, she can threaten and beat up any man, even someone who commands an army, and she can lift those two baskets of rocks up the mountain 4x the strength of any man, she can throw a person up the cliff with her bare hands, scale a building, run across rooftops, jump down from buildings, that's what you normally see in a fantasy, animation or cartoon, that kind of super powers, but other than that, she's normal. those elements make the drama light-hearted and funny and entertaining and is what gives her character charm, but it also cannot take the story too serious, but then they turn to the dark side with the pyscho villains, so cruel and dark. There's this bizarre contrast of light and dark elements.
How did they get mad at each other so fast? I need to rewatch that scene. It went from a normal conversation to full‑on ‘I’m going to kill you’ in seconds.”
Why did Yan Zheng agree to be a matrilocal husband?1. Attracted to Fan Cheng Yu?2. Repay FCY saving him?3. Delay…
His parents died when he was very young. He's never had anyone care about him the way she does, and she has this motherly and protective nature toward everyone.
also is this the most active board for a cdrama in recent years? we're only half way through but already 26K+…
you're right, 26K comments at this stage is phenomenal. At this rate, it will be at least 42k comments when the finale airs. I don't think there is any other drama with that many comments. This may go down as the most comments in MDL history.
