She purposely give detail of an amount 6000 yuan because she knows anonymous gambling story will come out later with the same amount so by saying the same amount, the story can look credible. In her story, she only gives specific details when it matters to her, otherwise, it's vague, like she never said what month the company party was that she attended and met Xu Kai only that it was in 2021. . She doesn't want anyone to connect the dots exactly when in 2021., Her story sounds like a hodgepot of made up events. The way she framed that part is to insinuate he's doing something illegal. She ends with he told her not to say anything to anyone because it's a small circle. She knew there would later be separate gambling accusation made by an anonymous source. This then acts like both stories are independently corroborating accounts. So far, the gambling claims are made by anonymous source nothing has been independently verified. The claim can only cite two separate occasions, once in 2021 while on set of SEL and another time in 2023 during filming of ABAY. well.. they still out there spinning it like it did, and spinning him very negatively. They're just making him look good imo because he stays above it all. I don't know how he does it. Other actors put out promotions constantly to highlight themselves positively with the public, but not Xu Kai. He is so unique, so rare in the industry, I think he has a very strong emotional core.

Demon powers and Taoist powers were not supposed to merge together; if it did, he became the most powerful being.

Anyone else would have died but Zhu Yu plant only responds to Mei Zhu Yu, perhaps his cat clan bloodline. I think his father has cultivated the plant as like a cure for him, knowing that he was going to use his son as the host or vessel to seal the Evil Infant which is why he sealed all his Cat Lord powers in the lantern for his son to protect him once he seals Evil Infant in his son. His father did not recognize him since it's been 18 yrs. He didn't recognize his father because he had that demon marking on his forehead to show that he was in demon form unrecognizable to Mei Zhu childhood memory. The little boy recognized him, but the father may have erased his memory of his demon form.

Xu Kai can give a fiendish / malevolent gaze too. If you zoom in and stare at it, you'll see the nuances esp. in the eyes and lips too.. that tiniest of tiny lip movement meant to be eerie when paired with that gaze. It's very different than just looking evil or acting evil. Add that to his range. For a guy who is supposed to be easily scare.
