By the way, if you want a hot sex scene (not erotic), watch The Secret Romance (AKA My Secret Romance) with Sung Hoon. Ep. 2 in the convertible.

I have seen five episodes on Viki so far.
Some of the comments on here crack me up. The reason we see so many of these tropes is because people are watching them.
Yes the ex is cringy. Yes the leads had sex without protection. I mean I doubt the ML carries protection in his wallet because someday he MIGHT actually meet the woman he loves and get to bed her. Yes, the FL is a pushover and from an average family. He is a rich heir destined to take over the family business and marry the girl his parents engaged him to when he was a wee lad. An engagement he never took seriously. Yes, the fiancee is a strong, good looking woman with a bitch persona. People, this is what we live for when watching Asian dramas.
Now I will admit Positively Yours has a better storyline and stronger FL. And the bedroom scene was better/hotter than we got in ep. one of this drama. But I am still going to watch it to the end if only to see the ex and the bitch get their comeuppance.

So I watched this after watching K-drama My Secret Romance. Personally felt My Secret Romance did a better job with the whole forced to eat lunch with the boss scenario. And I really love that FL didn't get pregnant after the first night of sex. That was one thing that threw me off in Boss & Me. They supposedly had sex and the very next day when she goes to give blood they tell her she is pregnant. Just not possible.
Zhang Han is not pretty boy idol and the makeup artists did him no favors in the drama. But he is not horrible to look at either. However, if you want to watch a drama with better looking ML and hot sex scene in ep. 2 I highly recommend My Secret Romance (also known as The Secret Romance).

Her aunt drove me nuts.

His eyebrows and makeup. Had so much trouble getting past them. His face coloring didn't match his ears, throat, or hands. So unnatural. And 2nd ML eyebrows look like they colored with black and purple colored pencils. I'm currently on ep. 29 but I liked ML and 2ML much better in Gentlemen of East 8th.
I did find it interesting that ML's sister actress is married IRL to the actor who portrayed her husband in this drama.

Totally agree the bench conversation moved them forward. As someone who was involved in an office romance, we worked hard to keep business as business and not let our emotional attachment be noticed. So I see their office relationship as being somewhat normal.

I can see where you would feel it was cringey. Myself, I enjoyed those moments because the characters actually started to develop their relationship by getting to know each other better. Yes, they had sex and now baby on the way. But, they don't really KNOW each other. That needs to happen before we get to the happy ending.
Over used tropes? Sure, because they work.

Did not change my tone. I still think the leads had absolutely no chemistry. Also, it is possible to put someone on a pedestal while still subjugating said person. As long as they do what you want they can stay on the pedestal.

This will be my last reply to you because obviously we do not agree and I don't have the time or energy to discuss this any further with you.

Haven't finished the drama yet but I have trouble believing that Sitian was trying to scam people.

I am familiar with the scene. She calls him "my queen" and calls herself the kind because she won the tournament. Please don't make assumptions about what others have or have not seen.
As many of us have said, we do not see chemistry between these two. I have seen many of Wu Lei's dramas where he did have chemistry with the FL. This one just wasn't it.
As you said, not everyone likes everything. That is true which is why many of us didn't like this drama. However, just as we have opinions about dramas and what is or is not chemistry, we can also have opinions about being called "my queen". It does not imply a partnership, especially in a country where historically kings ruled and women (queens) were subjugated.

I know! I keep adding new ones. You would think as a retired person I would have the time to get them watched but I keep take time for my quilting and spending time with my husband.

LLTG was my first C-drama and I really liked it.

LLTG was my first C-drama and I felt the ML's backstory helped explain some of his personality, unlike AASOL.
I actually thought a couple of the supporting characters were more interesting. Wang Xing Yue was one of them. In fact I liked all the male members of the snooker team better than character of Lin Yi Yang.
Someone else commented that their characters were experiencing young love for the first time which explained their awkwardness. Having been there, done that, I cannot relate to that awkwardness. But then I am an extrovert so ...
Frankly, I disliked the FL so much that I have been unable to watch any of Zhao Jin Mai's dramas. Perhaps I can give her a chance after I finish the 72 dramas that are currently on my watch list.

I have seen Wu Lei in other dramas and he can definitely do shy and still have chemistry with the FL. This just wasn't it for me. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

You have a valid point. We each perceive things differently. It often depends on our own experiences.

I absolutely did not feel one shred of evidence of great chemistry between the leads. To me it felt like two actors calling in their parts. For me the only parts that were interesting were the parts that didn't include the leads together acting lovey-dovey. The sport parts were actually interesting.
