covers can catch my attention sometimes but then again some covers look too good for the drama like The Heirs.. a lot of family/daily dramas look similar to me unless it's one of those "revenge" makjang daily dramas which I started watching since late 2019, I used to avoid them because of the episode length and low budget-ness but now I've been addicted to 3 in a row of the same time slot and am going to watch every drama there from now on. I will only watch the makjang ones since they have that addictive factor and cliffhangers to keep me watching such long dramas but the slice of life ones will most likely bore me (struggled to finish Ugly Alert even though most people liked it) I can't trust ratings on MDL when I've been bored of so many popular hyped dramas yet finding low rated 6-7s dramas more entertaining and daily dramas are always rated low here :/ I also like to look at the screenwriter if I liked their previous works or not.
I hope to see him in a main lead role, please ...please lol

Both dramas have some similarities (greedy 2nd FLs abandoning their kid for status/wealth while FL raises them for her, both of their moms were annoying/lying for them, male characters getting revenge for someone's death, 2nd FLs blackmailing the moms with their past/secret), but I think CJB is still a better drama though. I don't want to get my hopes up for SJ just want him to be happy in the end somehow, he deserves someone better lol

omg lol that was me with Start Up while it was airing, I cared more about the love triangles of some unpopular daily dramas instead like Tae Poong & Seo Jun and Sae Hoon & Jung Min (Phoenix 2020)
don't be swayed by negative comments... Come! Jang Bo Ri = best version for those who love makjang & there were no boring moments for me (other than the first 4 eps which were slow and focused more on the veteran actors) it got more exciting after the adult actors (Oh Yeon Seo, Kim Ji Hoon, etc.) appeared in the drama! Of all this writer's dramas I enjoyed The Last Empress, Come! Jang Bo Ri and Five Fingers the most even though I watched The Penthouse and barely started Band of Sisters/Temptation of Wife.

I felt a deja vu while watching New Tales of Gisaeng recently, in ep 3 there was a scene of the ML swimming in a pool, the BGM sounds like a different version of one of the music used in this drama (the one that plays when Yoo Jung was presenting something at DL?)
