this is the only airing drama I look most forward to lmao (besides Phoenix 2020 which is even longer but that one's more of a melodrama while this one is more makjang) I used to avoid 100 eps dramas too but started watching 3 daily dramas in a row of this time slot, it's only 30 minutes on the weekdays but I'm dying to watch the rest of this right now, damn cliffhangers killing me everyday! It is worth watching for me personally since I'm always hooked/easily amused to these cliche makjang dramas even if it's not the best written drama but these suit my taste more than some popular hyped dramas nowadays...
At least this drama is getting high ratings in South Korea right now.

Same, I find this drama boring tbh (unpopular opinion) even though I liked the first 2 eps the most.
CJH was my reason for watching this drama when I saw him in the cast list as a cameo.. I miss watching him in Zombie Detective!

lol same HJS was my first lakorn, it set the bar high for me I was more addicted to this than Kleun Cheewit though 'cause the plot reminds me of watching makjang dramas which I get addicted to and the BGM was so good in this drama... I tried watching Tor's new drama but the first ep didn't really grab my attention and I'm always reminded of Hua Jai Sila whenever I see him xD

Same, wasn't really impressed by the first few eps but I kept watching for Coach Kim, her character grabbed my attention right away.. I got hooked to SKY Castle at the end of ep 8. I'm glad I stuck around, the drama was pretty good/emotional in the second half.
Although I still think SKY Castle is a better drama overall than The Penthouse even though I love makjang dramas. TP may look good cinematography-wise but I don't feel that much attachment to the story/characters compared to watching SKY Castle and this writer's previous dramas TLE, Come! Jang Bo Ri and Five Fingers (I've only started this recently but the child actors were pretty good in it)

I got hooked to the first few eps, the child actors were great (oddly I felt less motivated to watch the adult actors when they showed up the drama got kinda boring until ep 12 it picks up the pace again)

I'm from Canada so it doesn't work here. UK actually didn't work for me, it's still "not available".
While testing out different countries with 2 free VPN apps, France, Italy and Netherlands worked for me.

came back here again now I just noticed the drama's on Youtube with 1080p quality (if you still haven't watched it yet) too bad they made it not available in my country so I had to download a VPN app to view the videos...

couldn't find it before since videos that are not available won't show up in the search engine, I only saw it now since MDL added that "Where to watch" with the legal places to watch/stream the dramas.

The drama is finally on Youtube with better quality but it's not available in my country. Why do they always do this with some daily dramas -_-

ep 1 opening scene was hilarious especially when it's an older drama the hair rollers and outdated clothing just makes it funnier compared to if it was filmed nowadays, LMAO when that dude started dancing along with her on the roof

Ep 3 swimming pool scene - the background music gave me deja vu, it sounded so familiar I realized it's a different version of a BGM that's being used in A Man in a Veil (if you want to compare them check out ep 3 44:10 @ Dramacool with AMIAV ep 38 9:44)

based on the first 10+ eps it feels like a slice of life drama which kinda bores me but like with some other comments here the romance keeps me watching it and the main theme BGM & ending credits song is nice to listen to.

worst drama of the year for me.

I laughed at the recommendations for The Penthouse/SKY Castle "gripping thriller that will keep you on edge" (why are 2 people writing the exact same thing?) no offense it only felt the opposite for me lmao it was more like 20% mystery 80% slice of life/draggy scenes (which bored me) mystery felt weak (Woman of Dignity & Mistress did better at this). Even someone else who I talked to here during the early episodes said it felt like a parody of SKY Castle & TWOTM. I like plenty of low rated dramas but this was not one of them -_-
have already ranted about this in reply to Sherry's comment down there so I got nothing else to say about this drama.
If you liked TWOTM you can check out My Dangerous Wife if you want, it's a remake of a j-drama and was actually much more interesting than this drama.

yeah, ripped BGMs from the drama will have background noise/vocal remover effects I used to do those too/upload them on YT when my favourite BGM didn't get released :(
although it is quite time consuming for me to find/edit them so I don't really do that anymore nowadays unless I really like the music. The last one I did was from Fashion King, there was a really good one that played 5 times in that entire drama but they still didn't release it in the official soundtrack -_-

Yeah I know but not all k-dramas release their BGM either (I get frustrated when that happens), just have to wait for the official release.. I'm pretty sure they will since this drama had high ratings in South Korea

people are free to state what they didn't like about the drama but their last 2 sentences felt unneccessary. What I noticed all of these people had one thing in common - dropping dramas/talking smack about them while bragging about their own favourite dramas when it's a different genre/plot and adds nothing to the drama discussion and implying the one we're watching is a waste of time... like we don't know what dramas are already popular/hyped on MDL?? It's funny I see they actually finished TP even though they said they dropped it in the early eps

usually most kdramas release the BGM OST after the drama is over so we just gotta wait for it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't get the hate over KRW he was the first main actor I watched him in A Thousand Days' Promise, the last one was Black Knight: the Man Who Guards Me. Are people not liking him because he's not one of those young/popular/baby faced actors lol anyways am excited to watch Lee Da Hee (loved her in The Beauty Inside, she stole the show there for me I was more interested in the 2nd leads!)

this drama was slow in the beginning eps even I didn't get into the hype/hooked until the end of ep 8 (kept watching 'cause I was interested in Coach Kim), the second half of this drama was pretty good though I rated this drama from a 5 to 9.5 in the end.

after watching the 6th ep this drama just feels "average" for me, oddly I am actually feeling bored of Mr. Queen (unpopular opinion) but this one is somewhat more enjoyable for me somehow maybe because LYK is here and that one is more focused on the palace settings, plus LTH finally makes his appearance in the end of ep 6.

maybe Class of Lies or Solomon's Perjury (didn't actually watch it but the synopsis sounds similar?) am pretty sure most of us heard of SKY Castle already by now.
