I also find it ridiculous how certain people expect the actors to notice these details when clearly they already have so much plate in their hands, these jobs should be left to the production and writer not the actors, then again, how many dramas have been produced over the years that used korean history yet their errors were not pointed out or how about the medical inaccuracies of certain korean dramas, why didn't those stuff get backlash too, i'm speaking as someone with medical expertise, yet they let those laughable medical scenes uncalled out. Clearly, these certain people are just people with ulterior motives to spread hate on this drama,
It's really sad how instead of celebrating they are facing this now, I am hoping that when the air clears a bit more, they'd atleast release those post-interviews or post-drama contents.
It's more complex than what it all seems to be onscreen. She definitely felt they were at the same pace and they had something special but she realized it was all in her head. Such truths hit like a train wreck. Also considering how previously she mentioned having experienced of being afraid of trusting someone too much. So a factor of her previous history or past relationships also plays an important role here. I do get her actions with this recent episode has been frustrating as they are only beginning and this is how dating shows usually work. You get to know everyone else before you are set.
Woo Yeol is objectively not wrong in his actions for wanting to get to know the other women. Which Minju had thankfully stated. However, the problem is not with that itself, it's how he seemed so certain in front of the person he is with. He tends to give very strong signals like he is already 'inlove' with the person he is with, when in reality he is just still in a pace of 'wanting to get to know' that person. Because of how forward and strong he comes off majority of the time, it turns into a double-edge sword especially with how Yu Gyeong and Gyuri seems to be the type that fall easily head over heels with someone, even if they don't want to, which leads us to the complicated relationship between the three of them now.
Honestly, what these two women need is someone who is very certain about them and someone who can match their pace. Unfortunately, as long as Woo Yeol still doesn't come around, I don't see an endgame result with him and any of these other two ladies. Which is why the new female catfish is a great addition to this show. She came exactly at the right time and surprisingly she is someone who is at the same level as Woo Yeol. Although they have a strong compatibility based on their date, I still think Woo Yeol has stronger feelings for one of the other two girls. He's interested in the new girl because she's different, but this is where my thoughts contradicts my other statement. Based solely on episode 5, excluding the preview for their Japan trip, I think his feelings are somewhat leaning towards Yu Gyeong more and he might seem unaware of it himself or he could be aware but still think it's too early to be certain.
My reason is not just about how he seems to look at or study Yu Gyeong's expressions or emotions. It's how he seems more active when he is with her. How he seems to want to spend more time with her, the carpooling scene was one of the evident reason and the movie too. It's the way he seems to always reach out to her more than Yu Gyeong ever realizes and more than he realizes. Another is during the kitchen scene when Yu Gyeong was making sweet potato desserts with Seongmin, he was clearly conscious of the two compared to Gyuri with Seowon. I just hope he comes around before it's too late.
I do see the potential between Gyuri and Seowon. I do find it quite cute how Gyuri's ideal type is Seowon but I am still not jumping into their ship as I still feel she has stronger feelings for Wooyeol. She might only be getting to know Seowon for the meantime but if Wooyeol ever reaches out to her, I think she'd definitely go all in for Wooyeol. On the other hand, Seowon turned out to now officially be my only favorite among the guys. He turned out better than what I had expected. He also seems more mature and that perfect type of guy to date beyond just his undeniably handsome visuals. He is exactly that type of guy who can give you certainty and security. A complete opposite of Wooyeol.
Now i'm curious to what happens in their Japan trip. I must say this recent episode finally heightened, things are now atlas progressing which makes me eager to look forward to this show. Waiting to see what happens between Woo Yeol and Yu Gyeong, Seowon and Gyuri, but most of his date with Min Ju too.
However, I thought his hatred wasn't directed to Lord Inpyeong but, more of towards Grand Prince Yian's family, specifically the previous king (Yian's father). Which is why the Prime Minister resents the crown because he doesn't want to be a 'loyal subject' like his deceased father who possibly died an unjustifiable death. This could also be another reason why he is driven to join hands with Lord Inpyeong and kill Grand Prince Yian.
As for your second theory, I doubt the Queen Mother's hidden trump card is Hui Ju's biological mother. It sounds more possible if it was Areum the maid in the Prince's private residence as she was the one who was responsible for poisoning Hui Ju. The Queen Mother could use that girl as her saving grace and gain Grand Prince Yian's mercy when Lord Inpyeong gets caught for his evil deeds.
Seowon on the other hand is the complete polar opposite of Woo Yeol, he is too relaxed. I did think he was interested at some point with Min Ju but since they barely interact much and there's no reciprocating response from the other party, i'd get if he is curious about Gyuri ; only woman left he has yet to know about. The remaining men sadly don't pique my interest that much.
The recent episode made me feel sorry for both Yugyeong and Minju as both of them are the type to easily fall hard and trust the other person they like. The only difference in their situation is that Yu Gyeong's signals get reciprocated at one point but then that reciprocation disappears before she even knew it, while for Min Ju, her signals were never reciprocated. I hope both these girls try to open their heart to other men who only have eyes set on them.
