Don't worry MDL ratings are irrelevant, I doubt they even know or care about this site. I must say LND is doing…
True. MDL is indeed better than other sites despite how this platform has somewhat turned toxic through the years. However, I still think it's irrelevant to conclude that a drama is successful based solely on this site alone. Datas collected through official streaming sites, Korean articles and platforms for me are still more of a reliable source.
I'm commenting here just to correct you. I'm a healthcare worker and someone who has experienced having a family…
I respect your opinion if you see their childhood flashbacks that way. As for me, I find those flashbacks 'needed' and more than just 'fillers' as it allows viewers to unravel more layers of their characters, especially considering this is a 'childhood to lovers' drama. Although yeah, it does seem unrealistic to remember that much about ones childhood but I find that it is really needed that we get those flashbacks because it adds depth to the complexity of each character and their emotions/feelings. Like, it serves as a bridge so that viewers would be able to get more into their 'childhood to lovers trope' or else the progress of their relationship from such would feel so hollow and rushed/forced. We needed something to at least understand and allow us to dive into the depths of what their 'friendship' 'relationship' 'life' was that connects to the present adult characters of theirs. Even that crush part you've mentioned will eventually turn out to be something significant as well in latter parts of the episodes. I think the reason why you don't find it significant now is due to the fact that we still don't know about Seokryu's whole past especially in the US, like why she didn't pursue her feelings for him, compared to the flashbacks for Seunghyo's which completely explained his feelings in the latest eps.
The chemistry in a show isnβt just about romance. With good chemistry, you donβt even need a kiss scene to…
I'm commenting here just to correct you. I'm a healthcare worker and someone who has experienced having a family member battle with cancer. Regarding such illness, the symptoms varies differently depending on the site/location of where the cancerous cells/tumors had localized or metastasize (spread) plus another factor is the level/stage of cancer they are at, while each 'stages' still varies depending on which organ it is at. In here, Seokryu has been diagnosed with Stomach Cancer in the past, the organ of site is the stomach which is located in the abdominal area away from the 'brain' plus take note she was only on 'stage 2'. So, to put it simply since I won't dive deep to medical terms, her stomach cancer has nothing to do with her memory. It won't affect her. If she would have symptoms for it, it would be most likely on areas located near her stomach, effects such as intense abdominal pain, inability to eat, vomiting etc would be the usual side effects. We can only say 'memory loss' will be considered a symptom if her cancer was located in her brain like the character Hong Haein in 'Queen of Tears' or if the cancerous cells have manage to spread to her brain as well but that isn't the case here, she underwent gastrectomy and chemotherapy alone. My dad was diagnosed with PNS cancer (sinus part) but it didn't affect his brain as the site is totally different, he remembers everything and didn't suffer any memory loss. I hope you get my explanation.
So let me get this straight. As per the comments here. The logic is that if the ratings are high 8.8 - 9 for the…
I'm one of those watchers who doesn't care about ratings, the 8.6 rating doesn't bother me, as for me it is still a high rating. However, people have other opinions with regards to such, some mdl users here only consider watching dramas if they are 8.8-9.0+ alone. So it really varies. As for the matter of bots. Bots/Troll/Hate accounts really do exist here, not all dramas you see that are rated high or low here on mdl are actually 100% genuinely rated by people who really watched and enjoyed those dramas, it's a mix of both genuine and fake accounts. Ratings here are so easy to manipulate, like you can say you finished a drama and rate it a 10 or 1 when the truth is you never really did watch the drama. So I honestly don't trust it that much, because eventually at the end of the day a good drama will still be a good one regardless of ratings. The ratings which I only trust are the ones gathered from official (streaming) sites and datas reported through Korean articles.
Seriously?? I am so mad rn. 8.6??? one week from 8.8 to 8.6.. The bot accounts are way too much.
Don't worry MDL ratings are irrelevant, I doubt they even know or care about this site. I must say LND is doing well regardless of the unnecessary negativity spread here or on other different platforms, there are still a lot of other people who are truly enjoying this just as much as we are. Also, this site is more like a 'to-do-list' or simply a 'community' for those who enjoy dramas/movies. So, no matter what ratings dramas get here, their success does not solely reflect or depend on this site.
TOTALLY!! my replay button will suffer tonight because I will def replay that scene many many times despite already seeing it enough from the previews hahah
I feel like I can't predict what's going to happen in each episode. I'm surprised that some people complain that…
Yes, you are right! initially I thought the storyline of LND was predictable but as I watched up to the latest ep 8, I realized the writer always has something up on their sleeves, they have a knack at playing with our emotions and what turned out to be simple/small details were actually key hints for the unfolding of each characters layers. For me, this is nowhere near repetitive at all but rather a fresh storyline. I think those who are 'really' watching this drama and paying close attention to small details are the ones who would be able to clearly see through that the storyline of LND is more than just what they claimed it to be. I think some don't even really watch this drama at all, as i've seen some people missing out on the obvious details even at the very beginning of ep 1, they managed to mistake a present scene into a future scene. So yeah, for me the thoughtless ones are those who claim to be watching this drama but in reality aren't actually really doing so or like those who skip scenes, they will surely tend to miss a lot of important details.
i'm so excited to see Haein's hotness in black tee while he vents out his frustrations playing baseball haha considering this a blessing amidst the angst we will get this episode
Just saw the still cuts for ep 9 today, it shows Seunghyo asleep in his bed with a towel placed on his head while Seokryu is also seen lying down and watching over him OMG. So, my guess is this is a scene before their supposed intense argument when Seunghyo finally learnt her secret. Kinda lowkey hoping for an angry kiss scene or hug scene between the both of them haha
Just finished catching up on this show and I'm loving it! Also damn people on twitter were being so dramatic over…
Exactly, it isn't totally that bad at all like how people had deemed it to be. They were so quick to judge and put a 'death sentence' on her when nothing has been set in stone yet. Some of those who haven't even watched LND also got bought in those ideas. Like, I wanted to tell them to chill and wait for next episode haha as it seems some were quickly concluding that this is QOT 2.0 all over again. However, with those upcoming episodes i'm sure they'd realize even more that she isn't in a brink of death state and how LND storyline focus is not solely about the CANCER but many other aspects, so this is clearly not QOT 2.0. You're right! That is one of the reason why I love angst in my dramas too...we get to savor ther moments even more!
To the lovely runner lovers, I cannot recommend tomorrow with you (2017) enough. Like seriously, itβs everything.…
Tomorrow with you is honestly so underrated. It's one of my fave time-travel dramas back then when LR wasn't released yet. Yep, that is why I have confidence that LND will turn out wonderful hehe
I am so ready , to be honest I don't like romcoms that much , I hardly complete them , but angst in Romcoms is…
my case is quite the opposite of yours, I like romcom genres and usually I watch those with super cliche plots (like true beauty), however, these recent years I grew tired of such dramas, so now I also only watch and like romcoms if they have angst, slice of life, or a lil bit of thriller in them etc.
Do you guys think that we'll finally get some insight into what the FL meant when she told her friend about still…
They've actually already given us insight about that part at ep 8 timestamp 14:20. I think for the upcoming episodes this week, the story of her and her annoying ex might finally be wrapped up and we'd get a clearer answer if he really did cheat on her or not, also on why her behavior towards him is like that knowing she no longer has any feelings for him.
I'm all ready and excited for tomorrow's upcoming ep 9 and 10. I think I need to prepare tissues for the intense scenes, I can't wait to see the scene where both of them bursted out in all of their emotions. Looking forward to finally bid her annoying ex bye bye hehe....also, can't wait to see more progress between Moeum and her mudflatman cause I am still not over her hilarious unintended revelation about her 'crush'!!!
I rewatched episode 2 and I have to say, the playground jungle gym scene is pure magic. Everything about it. The…
That scene is actually one of my favourite scenes of theirs. I agree, every single thing about it alone is pure magic and I find it so heartwarming. Most specially with that exact line of SeungHyo which you've mentioned, the way I interpret it is like: "you can take off the mask on your face now, you are safe with me" or "I see you, it's okay to be the real you". It truly is like you've said simple but captivating. As I see SeokRyu's character as the type to carry everything on her shoulders and suffer alone (kinda relate to her with hiding her real feelings), I find that line alone very meaningful and comforting. It made me wish, I had someone like Choi SeungHyo in real life.
