I see the VR game as an integral part of the story, but not the core of it. I haven’t read the novel, but from what the drama shows, the focus seems to be on building their real-life relationship, with the VR game serving more as a bridge that deepens and strengthens their connection.

Caught up with the latest episodes and I’m already pretty hooked. The earlier episodes were especially engaging, the blend of reality and the VR game felt fresh and well executed, making for a strong and intriguing start. I also loved the republican era setting, and Chen Xingxu fits this kind of role perfectly (my first drama of his was "Fall in Love", so the familiarity was a nice bonus). What surprised me the most, though, was how charming Lu Yuxiao is here.

Their dynamic really stands out to me. I enjoy the contrast in their bond, both in the game world and in reality. Now that the story is shifting more towards their real world, i’m hoping it can maintain the same level of intrigue even without the VR elements. Xiao Zhiyu may come across as distant and cold, but you can see how thoughtful he is toward Hu Xiu. Even when he seems a bit harsh, it often brings out her stronger, more competitive side, which makes their interactions even more compelling to watch.

On episode 27 had to pause just to comment my thoughts. I can't believe I was sobbing tears for Murong Zhong when he was self-punishing himself in order to save his traitor son. All those tears wasted only for him to turn devil-ish moments later. I dislike Feng Pingcheng but I felt sad when he was killed, what's even more heartbreaking is Feng Suige thinking he was still alive. Too much happening in this episode alone all at once I did appreciate the sweet moment between Feng Suige and Yixiao though.

I checked out her social medias and turns out she's a beauty blogger like nanan but she's so pretty and I agree I love her attitude. Her reaction is so raw. I love those two as well, saw rumors saying they're end cp (hopefully).

The leads officially get together at episode 18. Yes, there is a separation arc where they got separated for half a year but they still got back together afterwards. This specific arc doesn't really take on too much of the episode, it last for one episode at most with time skip.

I can't hardly wait for the next episodes. This season kind of gives me the feeling it will be more fun than season 1. I did love the previous season because of JiangNan CP but I am hoping we'd have more CP's this season. Although I wonder if it'll be as good as the other networks version because I really loved that one.

Yes it's deserving of the hype it got, the way the romance was written is really beautiful and touching. It took me months before I could ever get over this drama.

Finished the first two episodes and it’s already more interesting than I expected. All the women this season are gorgeous, and I’m really enjoying the newly formed friendships among the guys—how supportive they are of each other and how they’re genuinely trying to be more proactive. I especially like how attentive they are when it comes to taking care of the women, and it’s pretty funny seeing them back each other up too.

The only male cast member I’m not feeling so far is Xiaofan. His actions and the way he talks are giving major red flags, but we’ll see if he gets some character development.

My favorites from the cast so far are:
Women - Jia Yi, Jia Ming (she's such a queen) and Yi Jia
Men - Zi Zheng and Enguo

The ships I see potential in and would likely ship in further episodes:

Jia Yi x Pascal (they'd make such a cute dachshund couple)

Right from the first game they had, the way he tackled and hurt the other guest without boundary already threw me off. Then his remark about his exes made it even worst. I get the point he was trying to prove how personality matters not just appearances but he needn't downgrade his exes and in a live show at that. I would hope for him to be eliminated. He is a red flag.
