Lol! You caught me! I forgot to keep my promise. I’m determined this time around! Thanks for the reminder. I gotta be held accountable.

He looks like a Korean Mark Tuan. It’s a scary similarity. But handsome nonetheless. He’s handsome in Lost.

Same. One of my favorite things about the movie.

I really like the actress. She’s not too pretty, tomboyish yet really feminine. She had a charismatic screen presence. And a lovely smile (mischievous, pleasant, but genuine).

I also really liked the main character’s resolve and conviction. Very relatable. She was unassuming at first, but surprises you.

In a way, I really feel like veteran actress Kim Sun-a or veteran actress Jeon Do-yeon would’ve starred in this movie when they were younger. Anywho, I made some recs that have a similar theme or premise as this movie.

I’d definitely recommend. Ending is satisfying and happy enough, and some parts of the movie made me legit cry.

The theme reminds me of this quote from a favorite movie of mine:

"Being a beacon of hope for lesser people is a lonely business."

Aw, he’s so handsome. I am currently watching Revenge of Others, and he really caught my eye. Especially when I think he shares a bit of a resemblance with Monsta X’s I.M. It’s uncanny really, especially when you see him from different angles. I hope he gets a lead soon.

The Chinese adaptation has more romance. The Korean adaptation has better background (explanations are given for plot points that went unexplained in the Chinese adaptation).

The stories are the same in terms of premise, but the focus isn’t the same. For instance, in the Korean drama, the romance is an afterthought. In the Chinese drama, it’s definitely given more screen time. That’s why the last episode is so lovely to me.

Regardless, I think it would actually be awesome if you watched both adaptations at the same time. That’s what I did with the “Bring it on, Ghost!” drama. I watched both the Korean and Thai adaptions at the same time, and immediately understood which one was my favorite based on how the romance was executed. Whatever you decide, I think it’ll be worth it.

The Chinese adaptation. Hands down.

The song (OST) by Sodagreen never gets old. It’s dreamy and nostalgic. I swear Taiwan has the best Chinese music.

Anyway, this was one of the first Chinese romance comedies I watched. I’ve watched it two times and enjoyed both times. This movie will continue to have a special place in my heart. The scene during/after credits are so cute.

I really wish I could watch this. But I don’t think it’ll be happening too soon. Yet, one of the reasons I don’t think think it’ll be seeing the light of day is because of what Cecilia said regarding Leslie’s passing. They were both really close.

I’m not done with the show. Almost.

But I really like this story. Mario and Kim have great chemistry. The way they smile and laugh with each other seems very genuine. I’d imagine that during filming they joked and laughed an a lot, like good friends who go out and eat a lot or do livestreams together at 1 am, snacking and listening to music.
