I love the cliché "running in the rain under a jacket" scenes sm, always catch myself grinning like a fool 😔 anyway, I see many novel readers are saying the novel is better, I guess I'm gonna put it on my ptr. so excited (>o<)
can someone suggest me more dramas like ts one??..i m jst too invested😭
A River Runs Through It Go Ahead Lovely Us Bloom Life (not very similar but I'd recommend it based on the vibes) Love Me, Love My Voice (also not that similar, but it's another fluffy show with 0 unncessary drama) Speed and Love (not for me but recommending because it's written by the same author)

I think the question is to what extent a production team can be responsible for an international audience. If they're making a Chinese drama in China, their primary audience is naturally Chinese viewers. That's true for shows from any country. Subtitles also don't always capture every cultural context or messages 100% So at some point, it's up to international viewers to do a bit of research when they come across customs or terms they're unfamiliar with. In this case, it was made clear from ep. 1 that they weren't related. As for Speed and Love, I totally agree with you there! That situation was different because the nature of their relationship wasn't clear to the FL when they were children, so I understand why people found it uncomfortable.

Yeah well, I was just saying because I am from an Asian country as well and it's similar there, so I wasn't thrown off by it :) To me it just seems like a matter of naming. I only brought up the comparison to other Asian countries because calling non-relatives brother, sister, auntie, etc. is pretty common in many places. That doesn't mean it's the same everywhere, and like you said, it may be different in your country and in China. I also don't really see why it's unheard of when the mothers of the main leads were close friends.

Yeah, I get what you mean but it's a cultural thing in lots of countries, e.g. in Asian countries. Doesn't mean that they're literally brothers/sisters or cousins. It's how we call each other, especially people who share a very close bond
I dont think you people get that in China they call people cousin or brother/sister just because of a bond. their…
Yeah exactly, this is well explained. Maybe it's similar in a lot of Asian countries because where I come from it's also quite common to call people very close to you brothers, sisters or cousins. Likewise we also call elders auntie or uncle, so I wasn't surprised with the setup. I think once people get that, it won't be that much of a bother because in this case I don't think it's that deep. People are reading too much into it
Nice seeing you here!! ♡♡ I actually searched up the title because I wanted to to read the novel you recommended.…
Yess, I started reading a bit today! I'm curious how it'll play out, hopefully it gets a good adaption. Hahaha, an impressive dedication btw 😆😆 That's right, making good use of the free trial!! Unfortunately, I've been on a drama break for some time now, but in a few weeks exams end, and I'm excited to pick up all the cdramas I missed out on during this time! But yeah, I have been reading a little bit in my spare time: I started a few novels by Qian Shan Cha Ke and also "The Road to Glory" by Tuan Zi Lai Xi - the one with Lin Yun and Zhang Ling He
if you like the characters of the leads in the novel, you will definitely like After Rebirth I Married My Archenemy…
