I was so into this, binged it all in one day. The ratings should really be higher. It felt so different and it…
actually the rating is good - just that every other dramas here (am looking at you kdramas) are super inflated in terms of ratings. for jdrama 7-8 is the range of great drama.
Slow burn at the start I feel - but explodes a lot after that (in a good way)! i forgot how well timed pacing and exposition really makes it a lot more interesting!
Watched on JAL today - it was so good! Crazy plot but had a lot of layers of exploration and self discovery. The two main cast were so good - Yuya was dashing and cool, while Yuina conveyed the crazy clown murderer with charm.
just finished this and really liked it! as many mentioned, the chemistry of the two leads are off the charts. but i think am the only one who actaully liked that the romance was not with them - because they didnt need it. they were aibou-s! and for me, thats why the second lead having the romance with ishida made sense - it was a constant reminder that that the love angle was nowhere a priority for the story nor the storytelling. which i think was the best choice!
i wish there was a season 2 - this is a great comeback (for me) for nakamura-san as I didnt like Hayabusa that much (even though these was an older drama than that! haha)
Not bad of a drama (I just finished) - I just wished that they spaced out the exposition more (instead of cramming it in the last two episodes. I wonder why they only had 9 episodes (than the usual 10) - I think they could have benefitted with an additional episode.
The "twist" at the end was less satisfying than I wanted it to be - but nonetheless, I couldn't imagine how else they will wrap it up.
You know what? I liked it more than what I’m willing to admit. That last two episodes was full of cheese, twists and drama - fully entertaining without being to cloying. It won’t probably be on my Top 10 series of 2023 - but am not regretting every bit of I spent watching this.
This is being shown english subbed weekly on GEMTV. I think I’ll give it another episode before I decide if this is for me or not. Mitsuki-san too cute not to watch though
Too good - glad that it was finally on Netflix. It completes my fave “trilogy” - with Tiger and Dragon and Kisarazu Cat’s Eye. The weird and touching charm was too impactful.
Too good. T.T I've never cried so much - both leads are criminally attractive and criminally good in their scene. AAHHHH! Thanks jdorama gods for bringing this together.
If you can, please push through the middle part (even though it becomes a bit boring / draggy), the last part is quite rewarding that I ended up liking it!
I am glad to have found and watched this drama just like how Nakahama-san has found Macbeth (and vice versa). This won't be my top favorite drama but it's probably the one I'll always remember.
ANY spoilers about story? why ML dies? he really like FL?? sad ending? whaT about FL??
Manga is still ongoing. Spoilers ahead.
The ML's death is just important at the first part. The ML and FL wanted to do more intimate things - so they try to find ways to do it (say possess people particularly). But the more they do this, the more darker things turn as it has compromises (like the ML becoming an evil spirit and the FL dying slowly/losing energy). There are some scary visuals in the manga for this and it also intertwines with spirit mythologies.
