Oooooooooooooooo… so as much as I loved the first 10 episodes, that’s exactly how much I disliked the last 2… so:

Kang Hyo Min’s mother handed over her own daughter to relatives to raise because she wasn’t “perfect” – she had a hearing impairment. But then, in episode 10, she adopts a deaf kitten and cries her heart out when it refuses to eat… yet she doesn’t give a single thought to her own daughter.

Yun Seok Hun and Kang Hyo Min – honestly, they’re just playing “happy family” – for the second time – with two twins who are complete strangers: the younger sisters of Kang Hyo Min’s colleague. Like… what even is this? And when they all meet for dinner, they act as if it’s their very first time seeing each other outside work… “Oh my, you’re younger, I’m your boss…” SERIOUSLY? And what exactly were you doing before when you were babysitting the 2 kids?

And Yun Seok Hun’s ex-wife – oooooooooooooo… I don’t even know where to start… she traumatised the poor man, made him believe he wasn’t the one she wanted a child with, left him alone to suffer for years… only to finally tell him the reason later. A reason that, if she’d shared from the very beginning, maybe they wouldn’t have even divorced, maybe he wouldn’t have suffered so much, maybe he wouldn’t have blamed himself endlessly, and maybe the poor man would already have a child by now. Basically, a classic case of miscommunication – straight out of a K-drama.

Oh, and let’s not forget the ending… when Kang Hyo Min’s twin sister shows up, all shy, giving gifts to their mother for the freshly adopted cat. But her mother – aka the “aunt” – had no idea she could speak… and yet she speaks way too clearly for someone who can’t hear and only lip-reads. And then everyone bursts into tears and hugs… SERIOUSLY???? REALLY… how on earth are you meant to feel when you find out your mum gave you away to relatives just because you were born deaf, but kept your sister because she was “perfect”? SERIOUSLY??????????????

And that final conversation between Yun Seok Hun and Kang Hyo Min about love… the two of them “accidentally” meeting and talking as if they were making love confessions. Honestly, I can’t stand this trend of leaving endings open… I NEED A FINAL THAT IS FINAL. I need closure.

omg!!! it took me by surprise ... so the way THE QUEEN plays ... absolutely wonderful! she owns it! and the scene where she tried to kill Seo Gu-wan ... wonderful ... including the way she smelled her hands at the end ... like she smelled the scent of her attempted murder ... she clearly misses it ... everyone plays very well ... I'm so into this!!!!

- then we find out that the two of them lived together in the same house during high school - when in the same way Jin Hyeok knocks on Yun Je's door and asks him to stay at his house for a few days ... it seems that since then they kind of like each other .......... but then they lose touch, years pass, and somehow - without any context - Jin Hyeok shows up at Yun Je's door and moves in with him - how did he find out where Yun Je lives now and how is he so okay with the fact that Yun Je is a hitman
- I mean... I guess if there was a bigger budget the story could have been developed... it could have been more suspenseful/thriller-like... but the low budget is extremely visible, and I think this is also the problem of understanding how a mainstream actor ended up acting in such a poorly budgeted film - I guess we've all seen other BLs: Match Play, The Time of Fever, Unintentional Love Story - where we also have experienced actors and no one commented anything about the fact that they played in a BL drama - but The Killer Next Door actually has so many shortcomings... story, scenes, image, color scheme
- in my mind, I prefer to believe that Cha Hak Yeon wanted to help someone, or maybe he even lost a bet :))))))))))) ... I'm a little mean, but I don't understand this ... how could a mainstream actor act in such a poor movie - poor in all aspects - the problem is not that he acted in a BL ... on the contrary ... from my part he should keep acting in BLs, but at his level ... because the truth is that Cha Hak Yeon has a level of acting ... and this has been seen in the films he has starred in so far
