You have to wait till the drama ends to see how much screentime they get though. The main characters are supposed to represent the 3 arcs of the male lead's story. Yun Xiao represents romance, Ao Yi represents friendship, Lan Linge and Qi Yuan represents kinship. The drama is still at its early eps so Ai Mi and Yu Yi has more screentime because its still at the first arc.
Wu Jiakai is the SML here, so he is supposed to have more screen time.
Actually he is only listed SML because of the new change in billing order to list actors by surnames. He was previously listed 7th, making him the fourth male lead instead. So don't expect too much.

I'm enjoying the drama but can't help but to agree with you. I don't get whats the goal of the ML. The FL has her own mission right from the start - to take revenge for her close friend. And he is just chasing after her like a simp. Their dynamic is painful to watch.

They were worried that JJY will receive hate for being "love-brained" but she managed to gain popularity instead because of her acting and visuals. All I can say is, fuck GJM for taking advantage of JJY during the period where she struggled against her former agency. She would now only work with producers like Wang Yixu who gives her female centric projects like Lai Zhan and Wanhua Sin.
