There will be no hit drama for Yang Mi and Xu Kai now or in the future because regardless how good their drama is it will be sabotage by their highly dedicated haters who scores 1star in a batch of 10 everyday. Just look at their douban score, haters made sure to downgrade ALL of their work below 6.0. So for me I'm just glad that this good drama exist and Yang Mi and Xu Kai cooperated together to give such memorable drama. Their scenes together are natural and enjoyable.

Saw it and saw another reviewer who keep saying "please don't shoot me yet" these people came in wanted a full brainless romance story but what they get is realistic mature romance with character growth lol. I mean that user expected this "Either the ML is milking the hell out of it, with heated gazes, body language, subtleties, etc.

Just thought I share here. Some people asked the logic of why QS need to lie in the first place. Some discussions at Douban forum created a very good topic on this issue. They compare to "Why Women Kill" and "The Good Wife" Rather than questioning the logic of the lie, people should think about why she need to lie in the first place. This thread put a reality example of the issue SAHPH tried to highlight about the pressure being put on the women in the society. It discussed that one of the documentary talk about a female executive who is pregnant and took leave but eventually lead to her resignation because her position was given to another male executive. The OP herself shared that a former female colleague of hers, a BAT programmer, was a good development team leader before giving birth. After giving birth, she returned to the company and found that the team leader position has been given to a man.
Just thought I share because this drama is more than a romance drama it actually highlight some hidden-not-so-hidden discrimination in the society.

Li Dai entered when she was an intern so she was in the company from the beginning of her career and despite that she is still a senior lawyer. Being married is not a "compulsion" but a hidden requirement, its sort of like "You are not rich so I can't be friend with you" kind of way. The problem QS had is that she quit her job in her 30s so every job has a certain salary level when you go to another firm they have to start paying from that level or offer more, but her company as with many company has the stigma that someone in her 30s although previously a senior lawyer wouldn't stay long more than 2 years because at the age of 30+ surely she would get married and have children soon so they would waste resources on her if they hire her as she would leave soon after anyway and they would have to find another candidate. This prejudice is what Yang Hua pointed to Qin Shi and what Qin Shi said in that Partners party where gender should not be held accountable for circumstances, men should have face the same issue too, why women is presumed to take over that sacrifice. Hence because of this prejudice saying "No I'm single" that her mentor quickly said that she is married knowing if QS said she is single, she would not get even the opportunity of being considered.

My biggest regret is starting this drama during it's airing. My 2nd biggest regret is watching the trailers for upcoming episodes that would only air next week. Now I have to live in patience.

Yes that is true. Regarding Xu Kai has less screentime looking at spoilers, director and producer seems to divide this drama into two arc and currently it's Qin shi's arc, I would assume we will see more of Yang Hua episode 22 onwards

It's a growth story. Which makes this story unique. So many dramas makes the protagonist perfect for fear that audience will get turned off but this drama dares to make protagonist with flaws. From the progress story seen in spoiler she will face her consequences and grows from it.

no absolute reason given, but iQiyi, Youku and Mango has long closed their views only left Tencent and recently Tencent close theirs as well so to est the popularity of a drama they use heat index for example for tencent highest heat index so far is 32,000 I think and She and Her Perfect Husband is currently at 29,500

His story has not been fully elaborated yet they have only showed hints here and there. ML seems to used to be Head Trader overseas with 1 million+ salary, until what seems to be he was framed by his mentor/boss. The way he always express his strong opinion to FL regarding fooling investors especially in the case of Luowei Yulan triggered him of what happened in the past. The way he fall from grace of elite wall street life seems to imply his name was tarnish. There is also a conversation during the partner party, where he and FL was trying to save their lies, but he seems to speak from the truth when he says he was laid off and with his previous high salary level it was hard for him to get hired by other firms.

If you watch further into the episodes there is a hint that the ML had some bad past with his previous job that could possibly be the reason he put his finances under his mom's details. It would be spoiler to say more but that parents house is own by ML.

From what I see this drama lay out the problems woman faced first and later plot shows how they fight back. These are the things they had to face and they tried to compromise with it playing by the boys rules but I saw snippets from MV how the plot progress towards them fighting back.

I only mention the conversation at the party as an example do you want me to list out others just to satisfy you? You keep mentioning "the office scenes" you don't even noticed the details of those conversations and issues being brought up, since you said I only pick one then list out to all the scenes you thought are boring. If this drama turns out like Lighter and Princess I would have been disappointed because its another CP drama, thats why there are so many brainless drama out there because it sells while drama like this which actually took care a lot of details for character development is considered boring. Waiting for 1 year and a half I was afraid its going to be another brainless idol drama so I was super glad that its a mature and actually tackle social issues and realistic problems faced by woman and stigma of the society.

A huge number of people who anticipated it expected a brainless romance drama but when they see the plot is focusing on society prejudice issues its boring for them.

He's getting annoying so I hope less of their scenes in the future.

You must be the type of audience who is seeking for all the romance and CP scenes in a drama right? The conversation during the partner banquet party is brilliant you think it's boring right? There are a lot of good scripts but I bet people who are seeking out CP romance thrills will say those moments are boring because all you want is for the leads to look each other in the eye lovingly with no character depth. That's why all CDramas are the same to me. Because all of it are popular and high rated because of CP and chemistry obsession. Its getting sickening how obsessed people get so this drama is breath of fresh air that actually carefully introduce the character depth and its rated low because many audience just wanted to see smooching from episode 1 until finale otherwise other scenes are considered boring.

Haters. We understand some might not like the genre but going down from 9.2 to 8.4 within few hours? Definitely haters. As you can see below these haters has low activity account but commented negatively about the actor and actress rather than plot.
