Both had the same vibes, the girl disguised as boy, cute but awkward at the same time. The boy actually discovered that she was a girl but pretend didn't know and will always protect her when she wasn't looking. I really love both stories, so funny and refreshing.
-Palace intrigues with princes vying for crown prince position
-partnership between cunning ML and resourceful FL, with a love/hate relationship
-in Rise of Phoenixes, FL has to promise her mum never to marry ML, and in Legend of Hao Lan it's the ML who has to take a similar oath to his father, so your OTP is kind of doomed from the get go
-stellar cast of amazing actors, topnotch sets and costumes

After watching a high jump competition on TV, Lu Rui Xi was so inspired by a jumper named Zuo Yi Quan that she decides to transfer to his school, which happened to be an all-boys school; therefore, she disguises herself as a boy to get accepted. At the school, Rui Xi befriends Jin Xiu Yi. One day during a friendly soccer match, Rui Xi is knocked unconscious by Xiu Yi. Quan carries her to the infirmary and realizes that Rui Xi is in fact a girl! However, Quan keeps her identity a secret. At the same time, Xiu Yi starts to question his own sexual orientation when he finds himself having feelings towards Rui Xi.
I really love this drama.
It has a great school setting.
It has one of the best bromance.
I love the main leads.... Both of them.
The romance is pretty good.
All the teachers are good except one evil teacher.
The ML also misunderstood at the start of the series
The personality of ML in both the dramas is kinda the same - cold, cool & closed off from the outside but sweet and warm on the inside.
This is one of my favourite dramas n highly recommended.

The biggest similarity is that both the dramas take place in a high school environment.
The main leads have a cute romance going on.
There is also the fact that the whole class is like a big group of friends with the obvious foe turns to friend situation.
Anyway this is a really good show too.

-it gives off similar vibes nostalgic and you'll really cry for the characters and sympathize with what they were experiencing.
-the love the FL had for the ML and likewise the ML for the FL.
-bittersweet romance *sigh
- I find the part where HYX still thinks WQS will come back is very similar to WTLOG's FL who still believes the ML(ZY) will comeback
-WTLOG is realistic while SOOD is more of a fantasy.
ps I love them both and they made me cry in every episode?

Same author, although the story line of Love of Thousand Years deviated more with somewhat questionable execution for LoTY. Fantasy elements. Involves lifetimes and the male lead sacrificing for the female lead. Great acting from the male leads of both shows.
They both have...
- the same concept of "righteous clans" being bad people and "demons" being good people
- strong female leads
- male leads both wore masks at one point

Both dramas have time travel and romance. In Ruk Laek Pop a man went to the past through a passbook. Both deal with a protagonist trying to adapt to the era's old customs.
Both set in academy's. Romance is similar. Both male leads are good at getting out of sticky situations. Both are trying to prevent a catastrophe from happening to the world.
The story balance humour and action well. They are both about academy's. The romance between the two main leads is similar too
•Both dramas have the genres sci-fi and mystery
•Both dramas have a detective character
•While Circle isn’t about time travel, part of the story takes place in the future, which is a similar concept to Alice since the time travellers meet in the future (2050)

Both movies star Ayano Go as a homosexual character with a sad ending.
They are both sports related. Also they are both light and fluffy, without too much drama. It mainly takes place at a school, but TPOT is in a high school setting and CB is at a university. While CB has romance, TPOT doesn’t.
Both dramas star Song Wei Long and share the same director/screenwriter team. "Find Yourself" also delves into the lives of the family, friends, and coworkers of the main character and is a very enjoyable drama for the most part.
