A psychological drama about unhealthy interpersonal relationships explained often through elaborate flashbacks. Takanako Mayuko, who grew up in an idyllic mansion with the perfect loving family, blames her childhood best friend for everything that has gone wrong in her life. While maintaining the façade of friendship, Mayuko finalizes the revenge she’s been secretly plotting for decades.

It is about an affair between an attractive thirty-two-year-old woman and a youth just short of legal majority. Interlaced with explicit scenes of love making, the movie watches the two lovers trying to come to grips with their mutual attraction, sexuality and societal disapproval.

Nakayama Aya is a 32-year-old housewife who has been happily married for two years. To others, Aya and her husband seem like a perfect couple. Aya notices a message from a mysterious woman on her husband’s cellphone, leaving her to wonder if he might be having an affair. She then remembers that they have not been intimate in the past two months. Aya begins her search in earnest for additional evidence of a potential affair.

On one gloomy night, a writer encounters an unexpected paid visit by a woman of his past. From that day on, they cherish each other's body and divulge in ecstasy, although the man finds himself becoming slowly obsessed with her with every minute they spend in his room. But whenever the woman receives a phone call no matter the hour, she always bolts out of the door, leaving the man behind utterly confused. While having no clue as to what she does outside, the man patiently waits and jots down his growing feelings for her in his journal. As this continues on day after day, their erotic relationship becomes threatened one day when he discovers that the mysterious phone call turns out to be her ex-lover who constantly abuses her whenever they meet. Set out to keep their obsessive relationship intact, he recklessly goes out to seek revenge for his beautiful lover.

Both dramas are similar for their cheating aspect, both FL's are not satisfied with the relationship they have with their husband, thus, looking or accidentally looked at another man that appreciates their value more as a woman. They did not find the "other" man, they just happened to be in the right situation at the right time, and the "other" man caught their attention. The difference is that H has a sad ending, but OTWTTA has a happy ending, though not seen, just implied. And another thing, H is kinda steamy, but OTWTTA is more conservative, I don't know how they did it, but it came out nicely and sweet. H is also sweet and nice, but more sexy in my opinion.

Chihiro is depressed and obsessed with his own mortality. Him and his wife, Yuri, decide to take a trip to Bali, Indonesia to see his pregnant sister, Kumi. They hope the trip can bring about change.

Takashi is a psychiatrist who has shut down emotionally after his wife's death, and Ayako is his patient. They plunge into a torrid love affair that helps the love-starved Ayako and provides solace to Takashi. However, their love becomes riddled with jealousy and possessiveness.

Housewife Sasamoto Sawa works as a part-time supermarket cashier. One afternoon, she unconsciously pickpockets a lipstick at the supermarket. Takigawa Rikako sees a part of this. What she proposes is Sawa's assistance in setting up an alibi for her affair in exchange for her silence on that matter. Sawa obeys the demands of Rikako in order to protect her "happiness" even though she is falling apart emotionally. In the process, she meets high school teacher Kitano Yuichiro and gradually cannot stop thinking about him. Before long, she crosses a line which she should not.

Set 3 years after the drama series. Kitano Yuichiro comes to give a lecture in the town where divorcee Sasamoto Sawa now lives quietly. The two meet again and their love story continues.

Kurihara Mia works for the public relations department of a company.
