Both shows follow the four pairs of couples living in the same apartment. In EXchange2 the couples have broken up and in Change Days S2 the couples are on the verge of breaking up. The residents date the other residents, creating drama between the residents.

In both shows four pairs of ex-couples meet again. They have to live in the same apartment where they can date around. Both shows have good production and well-spaced episodes. The commentators as well as residents are likeable making the shows fun and interesting to watch.

Alchemy of Souls reminds me of the Chinese drama Ashes of Love.
The plot is not similar, but I enjoyed watching the progression of the love between the leads. This is something you could watch in between waiting for AoS new episodes since it has many episodes (63).

It is similar in the sense that:-
- The female lead is a famous actor
-Female lead and male lead act as couples for the sake of a reality show.
-Jealous male lead
- The female lead is very independent.
-Enemies to lovers trope

Contract marriage trope. Cold male lead who has a close relationship with his assistant. ………………………………………………………….. The acting and the production may not be in par with Business proposal. However there is a similar feel to it.

Joseon prince time travels to modern day Seol. FL takes care of him as he & buddies live with her as they try to find a way back.

Both dramas show a female lead character pining for a true love. The true love arrives via a magic book, however in Emperor or Boss that book turns out to be a prop in the end. Both transplanted true love interests live with the FL & are supported by them. One may be a cartoon hero & the other a prince, but both deliver love.

One evening, the housewife takes a kitchen knife into their bedroom to exact revenge on the father. The father though is able to repel her attack and throws her out of the bedroom. The mother then goes into the son's room and from there it hovers the family into tragedy.

She follows after him to Tokyo by getting admitted into an elite medical university, but there she runs into Masato's girlfriend and colleague Aya, a beautiful and intelligent researcher who is the daughter of the university hospital's director. However, things get complicated after Naoko and Masato meet again.

20-year old Deok Yi’s quiet small-town life gets exciting when a former University Professor, Hak Kyu, moves in, running from the scandal of a sexual harassment allegation. He works as a literature instructor at a culture center and she works at an old amusement park. Mutual attraction leads the pair into a lusty affair, but when the fall semester begins, Hak Kyu is reinstated at the university and returns to his family in Seoul, leaving Deok Yi behind.
