Both movies focus on a non-sexual interpretation of BDSM. Love and leashes have DS play + romance. Nana and Kaoru have SM play without romance.

But I like bls and I also like reverse harem, so this series is the only one I can find like that. BL and reverse harem are the only "female gaze" things I can find.

While the subject matter is very different, if you like GReeeeN, the movie Ai Uta is based on/inspired by the GReeeeN song of the same name.

They kinda have similar vibe. Also 2 men + 1 girl complex love story maybe.. and even though there're some negatif comments, both show are worth watching Kbls

Both are historical dramas (Kingdom has fantasy elements, though) with gorgeous cinematography and a unique, rich autumn-like color palette. The ML in both is the only child of the prior king who dies in episode 1 and the queen who was of lower position which threatened/threatens his position. In both he has a childless stepmother who is scheming to have him killed.

The female protagonist likes to work non-stop and fall in love with the only person who was ones her equal at ones.. the male protagonists who is gorgeous..although atleast 10 years older than her.
She is also being followed by one younger guy.. but it's expressed that her feelings are towards the elder person.
Both women make strange facial expressions .. or have the lack of it.

In both the male protagonist likes to cook nice dishes for especially one person... the female protagonists.

In both they share school life/work life together.

Difference in both dramas is the age.. as in one of them they are high-schoolers.
Love starts to blossom between them.. because of his dishes.

Both have similar vibes though the stories are very different.
Crime , action , murder, and so on.
In a way both are about psychopath killers.
