Both have a very similar message that encourages self love and confidence, no matter what you look like. Both FL have a scar that causes them a lot of insecurities, which the ML helps them to overcome.

Both are about FL who wakes up in a parallel world where ML has the same face of a person she knew in real world. While in 'My Queen' FL ends up in kind of video game simulation, in 'Lost romance' FL is inside a romance novel world.

Both LGBT-themed Hong Kong movies portraying financial struggles that lead to sexual transactions and complicated relationships.

Both movies picturing sweet and also bitter side of relationships when it pass through time. Deep down they love each other but later realize that they can't be together.

though set in different times, they are similar in their themes about freedom, fighting for one's country, and unity in crisis. bridal mask has a much darker tone compared to youth of may. the romance in bridal mask is also a lot more dramatic. youth of may has a more slice of life feel. but both dramas serve a similar purpose - to remind the people of today about the tragedy that happened in the past

These two drama has this mature and super heartwarming feel to it. I like the consistency of how the characters are and how they are level headed with their emotions especially the relationships between both leads. Plus I love both male leads!
