similarities:
Both are extended slice-of-life, slow burn Taiwanese dramas that explore relationships between colleagues, friends and romantic interests.
Both show unrelated people helping to raise a young girl.
Both share comedic moments and some extreme characterization.

differences:
Leads...2F = 2 men, F3 = 3 women
Extended family...2F includes family of 1 romantic interest, F3's mother-in-law and spouse are integral

similarities:
Both involve independent and very different young women living on the same floor of an apartment building. Together they face life's challenges and relationship struggles.

differences:
F3 had more comedic elements and a "cute" soundtrack while OtJ was more realistic; it incorporated arguments between the leads. Loyalty did not eliminate some tense disagreements.

I'm still remember the first time I watched this movie, I thought "The tension between the male leads is kind of intense omg?"
The bromance between Qi Ling and Silver is so cute, periodt (Master-Disciple relationship). They really look good together. This has the drama version as well but I don't really like the drama version that much.

Qi Ling (Played by Cheney Chen) works as a busboy when some suspicious guests, of which one professes to be a member of Noble Lords, bring havoc to the inn. Killed by a vicious creature which resembles a white lion with wings, Qi Ling is saved and resurrected by the Noble Lord named Silver Priest (Played by Kris Wu). Silver Priest tells the young man that he has chosen Qi Ling to become his disciple and successor as a Noble Lord.

There is Similar scenario of a cop obsessed with a serial killer. Also both have psycologists who study serial killers in the main cast. there is a fantasy element to tunnel, while mouse tries a more realistic approach. Tunnel dwelves into the worst and best of the human mind. And Mouse also looks promising. I believe we could expect a lot from the story. With lee seungi s acting talent, no matter which way his character goes, good or bad, I think he can do a good job.

Both take place in the Japanese countryside, so very beautiful scenery and shots. They're very calming shows that unpack a lock of individual development. They also both deal with family themes.

Though they depict very different relationships (Restart being a slow, new romance and His being a complicated, "finding each other again" romance), the feeling of a heartwarming, beautiful love is strong in both.

It's not necessarily a sequel but it's good to watch this part to understand the whole series because in my opinion they are not very related these parts are made in a way independent only that they have the same characters (not actors)
